Have you heard the news? Erin (Bates) and Chad Paine are expecting! After suffering a miscarriage last year, the Paines were thrilled when the ultrasound technician detected a heartbeat.
"I couldn't stop smiling, just cause everything was positive," Erin exclaimed after the ultrasound. "It was just like, 'I've got a baby inside me, and his heart's beating.' I couldn't believe it."
Erin's doctor diagnosed her with a blood clotting disorder and instructed her to take a heparin shot twice a day throughout her pregnancy. Erin dreads needles but says it will all be worth it when she holds the baby in her arms.

ReplyDeleteI will be praying that the whole pregnancy goes very well, and I will particularly pray for her with her shots. I have Type 1 diabetes, and have to take shots 5 times each day. So, I know the feeling and I feel bad for her that it has to do it twice a day!

ReplyDeleteCongratulations! So happy for Chad and Erin. They seem like they will be wonderful parents. I also have a blood clotting disorder that requires me to take heparin injections twice per day during and after pregnancy, and we have been blessed with six children (including a set of identical twins) I hope they too will be able to have healthy pregnancies.

ReplyDeleteWhen is her due date? The 3D/4D ultrasound they posted look like 20+ weeks (I had one done with my son when he was 18 weeks, and found out the gender then, and this one seems a bit further along).

ReplyDeleteI have a blood clotting disorder (protein c deficiency) as well. My first child was premature but with my second child, I took a Lovenox shot ( heparin in the last month) every day and went to 41 weeks!
ReplyDeleteI have a blood clotting disorder as well - which we found after repeated pregnancy losses. I have APS, I'm wondering what disorder Erin has. Congratulations!
