Love this family, and Brandon seems like a terrific young man. That being said I will have to apologize in advance for sharing this, but I was cringing as I watched this episode because dear Mrs. Bates would not stop talking (pushing) marriage. I hope it was just the editing that gave this unfortunate impression, but it was so far over the top. I truly felt uncomfortable for Brandon and his parents. Michael was demure about the whole thing., but this was too much. Seems better not to get too pushy, give the young people some space. Loved Gil's genuine look of pleasure when he asked Gil if he could pop the question. Loved what the kids all did to their parents bedroom, what a great family. Gil and Kelly are amazing parents, devoted, loving, genuine, fun, down to earth, faithful and dedicated.
They are so refreshing and seem so spontaneous with their conversation, rather than scripted out like the Duggars seem to be. I hope that doesn't change for the Bates. I do enjoy the Duggars still.
