Tonight on Bringing Up Bates, 19-year-old Tori Bates shares how she is pursuing higher education (video preview below). Tune in to UP at 9pm ET/8pm CT.
I think Nathan is taking flying lessons in Mississippi because he wants to serve in missionary field. This brings him much joy. On one of the shows it.looked like he fancies a young.girl by the name of Ashly who is or was a college student who wants to enter missionary work too. They even showed a brief clip of them in the missionary field.
Erin and Tori are the only ones who enter college. The boys do work and work hard. The other older girls did not farther their education. I hope the younger children follow in Tori shoes. And that she becomes their role model. I think Tori will make a wonderful teacher.. And I am happy to see that Erin is able to find joy in music and teaching it. I know Whiney too is going to college. Good to see.
Many times you hear people regretting that they did not farther their education when they were young and unmarried. When the children come it is close to impossible to go back to school. Am proud of you Erin and Tori. It takes a lot of work. And determination. But you were so wise. And you won't regret it. Please encourage your younger siblings especially the girls. Some girls seem to believe that their heart is only set on love and marriage. Which I good but you need to keep yourself busy with a life of your.own before that.

I know Erin went to college, too, but which other Bateses went to college? What are the careers of the grown Bates kids and the in-laws?

ReplyDeleteI know Gil and Kelly graduated from college. Erin and Tori are the only ones of the kids so far to go to college.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure we've heard that one of the older boys is taking college classes too. Was it Nathan?
