Bates-Keilen Wedding Party

The Bates family is in the thick of wedding planning, as Michael and Brandon's big day is less than four weeks away. "Just tell me you're kissing at your wedding, and I'll be happy," Tori recently told her sister. "Yes, of course, we've waited forever for this," responded Michael. "Are you kidding?"

The couple has eight bridesmaids and eight groomsmen, but one of the members of the wedding party may surprise you. Michael has chosen to include her mother. As the oldest of ten daughters and only 23 years younger than her mom, it is no wonder that Michael has a special relationship with Kelly.

    Congratulations to Brandon and Michaela!!! I have not read this blog or the Duggar blog in two months because I was on restriction from the internet for awhile but have kept up yo date via Facebook. Shocking to hear that Kelly Jo the mother of the bride is a bridesmaid. Very untraditional but nice. But I'm also shocked to hear that Jana Duggar is in the wedding. I thought because of the Duggar scandal that the Bates would not invite the Duggar's not to cause a riot or controversity at this wedding

      That's so harsh. I doubt anyone would actually cause a riot over sweet Jana being in the wedding.

      The Bates support the Duggars in whatever they say or do. I'm not surprised that Jana is in the wedding. She and Michael are really close friends:)

      Uh the Bates and the Duggars are friends even when things come between friends forgive. And i'm sure the bates family still greatly treasures the duggar family.

      The Dugger/Bates friendship goes back 20 years or more. Why would you end a friendship because of a scandal? What kind of friends would that make the Bates? Why wouldn't Kelly be in the Bridal party and stand alone as her husband helps perform the ceremony ? Sometimes the oldest daughter has a very close bond with their mother and they are often second mothers to their siblings, no matter how many kids are in a family.Jana played a big role in Michael life. They grew up together. They are 11 days apart in age. Jana encouraged Michael in her make over from what Kelly had said in her blog. Jana showed her make up tips and a weight loss program. Jana a high light. Did you see the current wedding photos? In one of them Jana looked so lovingly at Michael. If a picture can say a 1,000 words this one did.

      Yes. They are brothers. Chad comes from a family of 12.

      It was nice but a little disappointed that Michael didn't have Carlin in the wedding party as well. Carlin was just as involved in the wedding preparations as Tori was.

    I so wish I could see the Bates new show. We don't have cable, and so far the Bates' show does not appear on GooglePlay. Is there another way of watching the show?

      I was wondering the same thing! I don't have cable either, and I'd love to watch it!! The Duggar's shows were on youtube. The Bates first season is on youtube but all the recent ones aren't. =(

      Do you have a neighbor or a relative who has UP ? Why not have a party night when it's on and go over to their home? My daughter did this when the show "The Office" was on. College friends got together and bought snacks and watched it together. They had a great time !! Start a trend.

      The channel uptv block and video uploads of episodes and the close that person account down so that's why no one risks even trying to upload anything. I live in the U.K. And haven't seen any episodes :(

    I am surprised Carlin Bates wasn't in the wedding party and Nathan Bates wasn't in it either. Isn't Trace younger than Nathan Bates?

      You ''re right. The guy pick the groomsmen. I wonder if Brandon and Nathan aren't that close. The girls pick the bride's maids. It looks like Brandon had a say because his three sisters were in the wedding party.

    I am astounded at the overblown coverage of a misdeed done by a young man ie; boy,which only came to light because of his conscience due to a christian upbringing and rightly dealt with by his parents. That should have been the end of the story. Unfortunately, a certain self-righteous organization went out of their way to cause harm to the Dugger family. Where is their outcry concerning illegals who are committing rape, murder and general mayhem and so called (planned parenthood's) recent revelations that they harvest and sell aborted baby parts, which is illegal not to mention horrific and even possibly killing babies who are born alive and selling them to research businesses, who are also equally guilty of creating a market for aborted or live babies and profiting from such. From my point of view things are way off course. People gag at the proverbial gnat and swallow a camel. It's time to think for yourselves and stop being brainwashed.
