Bates-Keilen Wedding Pics

Michaela (Bates) and Brandon Keilen have been newlyweds for four days! Check out these pictures of their beautiful wedding, which was officiated by Gil Bates. Tune in to UP tomorrow at 9pm ET/8pm CT to watch Michaela choose her bridal gown (preview coming soon).

Did you know that Michaela and Brandon met more than six years ago? Their feelings for each other grew steadily until, on December 30th, 2013, Brandon asked Michaela to begin a courtship.

Look closely at picture five, and you'll notice that the couple's unity candle is perched on a tree stump that has their names engraved in a heart. When your dad and brothers do tree work, why not get a little creative?

      I believe he was ordained several years ago. In Alaska anyone can get a special license to officiate at a wedding.

      I think that is wonderful!!!! My Dad married my husband and I almost 32 years ago. Yes, we ate still married 5 kids and 10 grandchildren later. That's a special memory that we'll treasure always. Congradulations!!!

      I actually think anyone can become a wedding officiant. Not sure what it takes, but Chris Harrison from The Bachelor officiates weddings. I also saw where another reality star's husband does weddings and baby baptisms. So you don't have to officially be a minister.

    I LOVE the colors...sooooo beautiful! LOVE all the dresses too. I have to say that out of all the wedding pictures I've seen of the Bates' and Duggars' weddings, the colors in this one are top notch!

      Yes it would be nice to see photos of Brandon' s family. But I think some of his sistes were in the wedding party. Three of them were. So Micheal doesn't favor her family over his. She had three of her own sisters in the wedding party along with Jana Digger who encouraged and inspired Micheal in her make over. Michael's make up improved. She lighted her hair. And lost weight that Jana helped her with. What a great friend ! And Jana also invited her on a mission 's trip. Michael was never on one before. I love Jana.

      There probably were pictures takes of the groom's family but you must remember this is all about the Bates. It called Bringing Up the Bates. We do see the In laws at times. The Bates include them in things. Michael did Have three of his sister's in the bridal party. She could of had three more of her own sisters as bridesmaids.

      It might have been an oversight. The families do get along well. Michelle did divide the bridesmaids between his sisters and hers. She didn't have to. And maybe the family want privacy. We saw his parents already. Nice people. He went to Bible college. And he is from a family of 10. Remember the show is called Bringing up Bates. And the In laws often are seen. But it's about the Bates.

      The bridesmaids dresses are from daintyjewels.com. The pink ones are "midnight in Paris" or "a night in Paris". Not sure of the exact name. And Im not sure of the name of the taupe style one. But you can just look thru till you find it. I've already wore the midnight in Paris dress for a wedding in January and wearing it again for another wedding in October :)

    Congraulations you two. Thanks Lily and Ellie for finally posting some pictures of the wedding. I have been looking for pictures for day's all over the internet on just about every magazine web site. But all I could find is "Duggar Trash" like that the Duggar's were out to destroy Michaella and Brandon's wedding and get some "TV time" to get famous again. But I don't think that was true at all. The Duggar family would never do such a thing. I would of guessed that Gil Bates would officiate his own daughter's wedding since he's a pastor for his weekend job. Besides he officiated his first three children's wedding's anyways.

    I love this family ! Micheal made a beautiful bride. They look like a happy couple. Hope they have a wonderful marriage. Can't wait to see their wedding in the upcoming episodes. I have a question. I saw last night's' s show and thought I saw one of the Duggars film crew in a photo of that episode behind Micheal. Is the Duggers old filming crew working now on the Bates show or is it just this one fellow with the grey beard ?

    Saw last night show and love how relaxed and genuine this family is . Also aired last night were a few earlier shows. I loved how Micheal became annoyed and down right angry at her sisters, especially when To put her hands on Brandon. This show is so real. They have no pretense to them. They are so honest and so outspoken too The newest show aired last night was great. . I just love how Whitney was so observant and realised the remarks could be discouraging for Michael. How Sweet and understanding and sensitive to others Whiney is. She adds to the family and blends in so well with them. I just don't like her sitting on the couch with the children. She looks out of place doing the interview in that scene. She should be paired up with Kelly or Zach for.an interview. She's not a kid. The dresses at the shop did not suit Michael well. I am glad Michael did found the right one for herself at a affordable price she was happy with..

    What a beautiful couple & such a wonderful story they have. I enjoy this show so much. II upgraded my cable vision package in January so I would get UP tv, just to see this precious family. I love your show. It's so refreshing to be able to watch a decent family & tv show. I love how they love one another & have such a strong faith. How every family should be. I love the beautiful colors in their wedding. Michaela'looks are just striking, & she made a beautiful bride & she deserves this happiness. CONGRATULATIONS & may the good LORD bless this precious couple. Good job Gil & Kelly, what great role models. You should be so proud of such wonderful children.

    I really like this reality show,"bringing up Bates. It's refreshing seeing daughtes & sons beinging Raised with Godly morals and also the sons too. it is possible to actually have a relationship between a man and a woman without them jumping between the sheets after only having meant one hour before. God

    We are so inspired by your family every Thursday night when your program airs. It is a testament to your love for the Lord and for each other.
