For those who regularly tune in to Bringing Up Bates, you might occasionally find yourself singing along to the catchy theme song. If you have never the show, you are probably wondering what the opener sounds like. It's called "Talkin' About Family," by the band Max & Simon.
The song is not currently available for purchase, but we have embedded a video below, so you can watch and listen to it as many times as your heart desires. (Warning: There is a good chance that it will get stuck in your head.) Season three of Bringing Up Bates premieres in January 2016.

ReplyDeleteI am wondering: Is Lawson courting Jinger, Are Erin and Chad expecting a second child, and is Nathan courting Ashley or any other girl?
ReplyDeleteThere is no official news on any Bates courtships or pregnancies, but stay tuned!
DeleteBlessings,
Lily and Ellie
Lawson has posted a few pictures of Nathan and Ashley together!!
DeleteWill we have to wait until January to find out? Ugh, I hope not! :)
DeleteI love love love ❤️❤️❤️❤️ The show I am so waiting for more shows
DeleteThank you for giving up time from your busy schedules to run these blogs for us the fans of these wonderful people! I appreciate all that you do!! I also know that I can trust every thing that you report ( unlike some blogs sadly). Thank you for showing respect to the family's while reporting about them as Christ-like matter! (Free of gossip and slander) God Bless you and have a wonderful day!!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the theme song!! I always look forward to hearing it as it is very cheerful. I agree with Anonymous #1 - I would love to see the sons and daughter-in-law and the grandchildren in the opening. I am very anxious for the show to return and to hear about the newest events - unless they take mercy and let us in on something a little early! I love the Bates and admire the children who give back by going to nursing homes, etc. I am also looking forward to seeing more about Michael and Brandon's new house.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you - that theme song is so catchy & what's more, it's cute! It's a song that's fun, easy to sing & family appropriate (no matter the age). AND, if it does become a earworm (that song that gets stuck in your head going round & round), it doesn't get annoying. I don't know who's job it was to find that song but you did a good job!
DeleteI read that one of the TV production people was at the Bates home and saw a plaque on the wall with these words on it . He copied the words and took it with him and either wrote the song or had it written. I would love to see a copy of the words.
DeleteWe love the Bates family!
I love the Bates theme song. I sing it aroud the house all the time. My friends think I'm nuts.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if there will be any official news from the Bates regarding the multi-million dollar lawsuit filed against the IBLP board. The Chicago Tribune has a very enlightening article about it. Both Gil Bates and Stephen Paine are members of that board.
ReplyDeleteWhat is the name of the song played during MeMaw's wedding (during the time they were walking up the aisle?)
