What do you think of Nathan's courtship gift? His younger sisters aren't impressed...
Check out the video below, and then tune in to UP tonight at 9pm ET/8pm CT for a one-hour season finale episode. Don't worry, it's not the series finale. :)
I like that it was different and original. I wouldn't want roses and jewelry. The lady at the store told them they have a return policy so she could always go exchange them for a pair that fits
Nathan originally planned to go to NY alone, which left me wondering if it's ok for the guys to travel without a chaperone, but not the gals. I seem to remember Michaela going to Texas to see her boyfriend and she was chaperoned.
Well Ashley has a lot of siblings to keep on eye on them. As well there are a lot of people in New York city and as Kelly Jo stated with the buggy ride that they wouldn't do anything with all those people around. Also sometimes the siblings want to come along to see their siblings boyfriend/ girlfriend. Even if a chaperone isn't necessary.
I'm not a jewelry and flowers kind of girl so, of course, I thought the boots were an adorable and unique gift. I'd love for my girls to find someone like Nathan who thinks outside the box and usual cliches when it comes to spending time and money on them.
I thought it was sweet and original! I love the Bates family and find them much more relatable than the Duggars, which is my opinion. Hope their show is renewed for another season. Great family with a wonderful humble spirit.

"You want something that somebody hasn't got yet." Love Ellie's answer!
ReplyDeleteI think it was a sweet gift but I am a county girl so of course I would think that :-)
ReplyDeletePERFECT gift if Ashley's anything like me, lol.
ReplyDeleteThat is the perfect gift!
ReplyDeleteNay! Why would he give her cowboy boots. I would have gave her roses. That's Nathan for you. What if the cowboy boots didn't fit her right.

DeleteI wonder this to
DeleteEarrings were a nice gift. Additional flowers would round out the gifts for a courting relationship.
ReplyDeleteI would have saved the boots for a birthday gift.
Loved this segment. It will be interesting to see how the courtship works out...
Yep!
DeleteWhen Michaela went to Texas to see Brandon & to Washington she did not took anyone with her. Her chaperon was one of Brandon's sister (Becky).
DeleteI think it was a great gift!! :)
ReplyDeleteA country boy interested in a city gal, boots were a unique gift to give. Ear rings were a nice touch
