"The reason Carson didn't eat his cupcake is Chad's fault because Chad don't like him to have sweets or anything that's bad for him, so...he likes yogurt, Greek yogurt, that Chad feeds him."
-Erin (Bates) Paine
When the Bates family gathers around Carson's high chair in the video below, they expect the one-year-old to happily smash his cupcake all over his face. Carson's reaction is priceless; he has no interest in eating the decadent treat, but cousin Bradley Bates sure does! Tune into this week's episode of Bringing Up Bates for more footage from Carson Paine's first birthday party.

Watching your family makes me literally smile, laugh out loud, or cry every time. Thank you for inspiring me to slow down and enjoy making memories with my kids. Life goes by too quickly and you don't even realize you're losing it til it's gone. I could watch your show forever!
ReplyDeleteIn many of the episodes, there is a particular lady in the crowd, as in this party at 00:05 standing between Tori and Katie. Is she a relative? or a regular babysitter?
ReplyDeleteHi there,
DeleteThat's Courtney, a family-friend who helps around the house. http://www.batesfamilyblog.com/2016/03/mystery-girl-2.html

Aww! Several of my one year olds wouldn't eat their birthday cake. It is very sweet when you aren't used to sugar.
ReplyDeleteNothing wrong with kids eating healthy. Both of my grandaughters were very limited on their sweets and when the oldest one started school the teacher said she would eat all the healthy food the other kids didn't want to eat and would not eat goodies like cupcakes if someone brought them in. The younger one on the other hand loves her sweets 😉
ReplyDeleteTOTALLY AGREE WITH CHAD!!!! If kids weren't given so much sugar when they are little, they wouldn't develop such a taste for it! (Cereal companies, please take note!!!!)
ReplyDeleteGo Chad! keep that baby healthy! :)
