It's time for Josie Bates and Katie Bates to learn how to drive! You would think that after teaching nine children to operate a motor vehicle Gil and Kelly Bates would be professional driver's ed instructors, but as you'll see in this week's episode, it's still a chaotic ordeal.
In the extended scene below, Josie and Katie join Kelly, Lawson, and Carlin in the 15-passenger van to learn the basics.

I love you guys so much good luck with teaching them to drive. Our son when he first started drivung made a habit of denting our cars with our own cars. Today he is an paramedic and drives an ambulance.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad to see Katie Bates in an episode!
ReplyDeleteShe's like my favorite!
The middle girls (Carlin, Josie and Katie) are becoming more and more present, since the older ones are all married off or dating.
DeleteYes I agree nice to see and hear about middle and younger bates! I don't have cable or up TV so I can only keep track through this blog.. keep the updates coming of all bates!
DeleteOh I don't even want to think about my son driving yet. Best wishes to your learners.
ReplyDeleteHow old is your son?
DeleteIf this was the same time as Carson's birthday, Katie would have been 14.
ReplyDeleteUh-uh. This was in May, and Katie's 15 will be 16 in October. Check their birthday section. :)
DeleteI' having trouble viewing the video. There's audio but nothing else
ReplyDeleteI don't even have a drivers license yet and I'm my 40's. It's nice not driving. I take the bus everywere cept for when I go to the grocery store then I have someone take me.
ReplyDeleteI am also saving money not driving don't have to pay for gas, insurance.
Do you offer to pay for the gas or pay for the time you are using from the people who drive you to get groceries? They sure have to pay those things.
DeleteI admire Mrs. Bates' humor and flexibility in the ever-changing daily situations of her home.
ReplyDeleteLove the part when Katie presses the gas instead of the break :)
ReplyDeleteI can't see several of the videos.
ReplyDeleteJust surprised at all the kids in the car and noise distraction when trying to teach the girls to drive. Didn't seem safe. Love the show though
ReplyDeleteI agree.
