Josie Turns 17

Two days after Callie's seventh birthday, the Bates have another milestone to celebrate. Josie Bates is turning 17 years old!

As the tenth oldest Bates child, Josie is known by loved ones as being a loyal and dependable friend who is always eager to offer encouragement.

Her favorite Bible verse is 1 Corinthians 10:31 ("Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God."). She loves running and drinking coffee and is the only Bates with curly hair. Happy birthday, Josie!

      I thought the same thing. It would be difficult to be a true runner with their clothing restrictions. You just can't get any distance in while dressed in a skirt.

      Of course you can! I do that all the time and biking as well! It actually feels freer than jeans/shorts because they aren't hampering your legs movement.
