Bates Boys' Unconventional B-Ball Skills

If you're looking for a good laugh after a long day of work, you'll definitely want to take a look at this sneak peek video. As they watch their boys play on organized basketball teams for the first time, Gil and Kelly Bates share some of the "unconventional" tactics that their sons have learned over the years. Can you relate?

Tune in to UP tomorrow at 8pm ET/7pm CT for an all-new episode of Bringing Up Bates.

  1. It is a shame that their boys have been deprived of playing organized sports. What is so ungodly about that? Why would they prohibit their children to be on a team? The beliefs of the other team members aren't and shouldn't be a factor to learn how to get along with others who may believe/live differently than you do...it's also not relevant when paying basketball or any other sport. These kids really need to get out and do something that isn't church sponsored, but community sponsored and participate. The girls can join brownies or girl scouts or a sports team for girls. More healthy to get out than remain sequestered in family and/or your church ALL THE TIME.

    1. Just an FYI, a lot of areas don't offer organised sports unless you attend the school. Homeschoolers aren't offered that opportunity.
