Erin Turns 26

Wishing Erin Paine a blessed 26th birthday! Born Erin Elise Bates, she is the third of Gil and Kelly Bates' 19 children. She graduated from The Crown College of the Bible in May 2014 with a bachelors degree in music ministry and now teaches piano lessons out of her cottage-style house. 

Erin was the first Bates child to leave the fold, marrying Chad Paine in November 2013. The couple--along with their two children (Carson and Brooklyn), two goats, and dog--resides in Clinton, Tennessee.

    Why do they say 'music MINISTRY' and not just a 'music degree'? What entails the ministry part? Is it a real accredited Bachelor's Degree in Music that she can utilize teaching music in an elementary school for example? This is a legitimate question being asked because this poster genuinely doesn't know, not trying to insult anyone. Thank you for your response.

      Thats a good question. Crown is acredited now, but it was not at the time Erin graduated, so my guess would be not.

      Greeting 2:24. I believe that because she got her degree in music from a Christian college it would be referred to as a degree in music ministry. She can use for teaching music in a school,giving lessons in her home etc.

      I don't know for sure, but since Crown College is a Bible college, the music ministry degree is probably for those who want to use their music for ministry - like in a church setting, composing Christian music, performing Christian music, etc.
