Wow! I love it! So well done! Lawson and Sadie are both so wonderful and godly and I love seeing them come together for something like this.
ReplyDeleteWOW - This is the best Lawson has ever sounded, and I think his new song and the video will take him places! The choice of Sadie Robertson was perfect. Great job, Lawson, congratulations and good luck on your music career!!
ReplyDeleteCute looking couple. Sorry, it's so worldly(public school drama). The music was very non christian country vibed :(
ReplyDeleteThey are not a couple
DeleteJust friends. He is courting someone else
Music can't be Christian. Music is art and it can say anything the composer/singer feels like expressing.
DeleteKaren, so who is Lawson courting, you seem to know more than the rest of the world since there was never any announcement that he was even in a courtship at all..?
DeleteLawson isn't dating anyone, where are you getting this info 6:50?
Delete11:12AM there wasnt anything that indicated it was a public school. And Christian high school students and homeschool students can have the same issues.
DeleteI wonder why he didn't want to focus on doing gospel music.
Delete6:50 what do you mean Lawson is courting? Nothing has been made public about any such thing. How do you know?
DeleteWow! Great music & video! Tells a true story for a lot of us!
ReplyDeleteLove the song and the story!
ReplyDeleteAwesome. They make a cute couple.
ReplyDeleteLoved it!

ReplyDeleteAww, it's great. His voice reminds me of Brad paisley.
ReplyDeleteyou're right!
DeleteI thought the very same thing. Great sound.

ReplyDeleteI'm not into country music either at all BUT Lawson has a wonderful singing voice good luck Lawson I wish you happiness peace and joy in your heart and success in the career path you choose. Keep God first!
DeleteAlso not a country music fan, but that was well done, and that's the best I've heard him sing. The whole setting & music style isn't something I'd expect from their family, though. I wonder if they've changed their music standards or just him.
DeleteWell done...the "star" of the video, for me, was the "Supernatural" black Impala, "Baby" !! :o)
ReplyDelete5:41 I had to laugh because my husband, who loves cars would say the same thing!😊
DeleteLove it
ReplyDeleteLawson has a wonderful voice! It's perfect for country music!

ReplyDeleteLoved it and the show!
ReplyDeleteAwesome great song
ReplyDeleteLove it!! He seems to be more comfortable in this video. Loving his voice. Love Sadie too!
ReplyDeleteHe is getting a lot better! Reminds me of early Brad Paisley! Keep up the good work- this is good!
ReplyDeleteWonderful - keep pushing forward Lawson!
ReplyDeletePublic school, unchaperoned dating, (tight) pants on girls, exposed shoulders...everything about this video is the complete opposite of everything this family has represented in the past. Guess they are getting past the past, letting go and facing the facts that they need to maintain a more modern lifestyle to stay acceptable and therefore on TV making money and fame. Con artists
ReplyDeleteShari
This was Lawson's video. He's a grown man, capable of making his own decisions. Like anyone else, he's likely very concerned about earning a living.
DeleteWow. I think your comment is understandable but maybe one-sided. I think the video is relatable to the average person. It's relatable to our youth because C'Mon how many kids court these days!? And this song may open them to Lawson's music and his ministry. He's just story telling obviously not his life story. He sounds really good. I'm sure his album will have a lot of christian themed song too
DeleteShari: While I understand where you are coming from you need to understand that Lawson is 25 years old, and as an adult he makes his own decisions about how he leads his life. He may feel that the rules his parents raised him with are too ridgid, and out of date and he may want to live his life in a slightly different way and thats ok. Also people can change over time, especially when they reflect back, it does not mean their core faith is altered in any way. There is nothing that I can see that is going against God or that is immoral here. Your final comment was very harsh and unchristian.
DeleteYes, it does seem out of character compared to what the Bates have projected over the years.
DeleteWow!! Every season the Bates family becomes more worldly! I realize Lawson may believe different than his parents, however they are showing this singing stuff on the show... which the show was based on certain beliefs and standards. Which seem to be changing quickly! This music seems to glorify the flesh more than God!
DeleteI agree that they have become very loose, probably fame and money. It's sad
DeleteLawson you and Sadie did a great job, and you have a wonderful gift from God.
ReplyDeleteAMAZING!!!!😊🤗
ReplyDeleteI was surprised not to see a chaperone. For those of us who have learned from and respected the Bates family values on dating, this was disappointing. What an opportunity it would have been to have held on to what you say you believe about godly courting with accountability.

ReplyDeleteI'm not a country music fan, but this was nicely done. Lawson has a great singing voice, great song..Jane
ReplyDeleteSo great!! I have the song stuck in my head now. ;D If Lawson's music becomes 'big' it'll be nice to have to some clean, country music on the radio!
ReplyDeleteNo chaperone???? Nathan was there.....and the whole
ReplyDeletefilming crew.....DUH......and people in the video. 😳😬
No one acting as chaperone for the couple in the video. They were presented as a "normal" dating couple, which flies in the face of what they speak so strongly about. And yes, it would have made them seem peculiar, but doesn't the Bible call God's children "a peculiar people" also to "come out from among them and be ye separate dairy the Lord"? So, yes in today's world it may have seem backwards, but isn't that how the Bates generated fame and interest?
DeleteAlso, the Bateses dates always have a proper chaperone, even when the dates are recorded for episodes. It has actually been asked (on here, on some other blog???) why the need for a chaperone when their every move is observed and/or recorded for show content.
DeleteThis video portrays a total different lifestyle than the show... so how do you guys believe? Very disappointed
DeleteAwesome!! Love it!!
ReplyDeleteGreat Job, Lawson! That was a HIT with a capital H. I love that he picked Sadie! they make a great couple!!!
ReplyDeleteLove it!!!
