"As soon as Bobby graduates, that means he can go home and make the moola and get a ring and propose...and then get married and then whatever comes after that."
-Tori Bates
Tori has been looking forward to Bobby's graduation day since she first met him almost two years ago, and the day has finally arrived! In this sneak peek of Thursday's new episode, Carlin Bates helps Tori pack for Florida, and Josie Bates reminds viewers that motherhood might not be too far away for this soon-to-be-engaged gal.

She might already be engaged!
ReplyDeleteEllie or whomever else knows the answer, It seemed like Kelly Jo made a comment in one of the episodes that Tori is due to graduate May 2018 but was trying to speed that up? Did that work out? Will she graduate in December 2017?
ReplyDeleteShe's still graduating in May at this point!

DeleteI get the feeling Tori is going to be a fun mom. But I also think she will make sure they are growing in the ways of the Lord.
ReplyDeleteNo mention of Tori finding a teaching job when she finishes school. Isn't that why she went to college in the first place... to be a licensed teacher?
ReplyDeleteI hope she understands that being married doesn't have to stop her from pursuing that dream.
Maybe her desire in getting the teaching degree was to be able to teach her own children. Not that a degree is required, but I know from personal experience that it's a plus.
DeleteAnonymous 1:40 - She doesn't have children. Waiting for future children is not a job.
DeleteCaring for children is certainly a job! It's hard work. Ask any mom.
DeleteAnna Duggar also got college degree, but she said that she got it so that she could teach her own children.
DeleteShe's a beauty. 100% natural and puts the plastic Hollywood starlets to shame.
ReplyDeleteWhat Hollywood "starlets" are plastic and worrisome to you? Most of today's leading actresses are natural beauties.
DeleteIt's a low level of maturity @9:29 to tear a group of people down ( Hollywood starlets) just to give a compliment. Not to mention none of them are 100% natural. Braces, cosmetics, hair color etc are all involved. I'm not knocking it as I've actually had plastic surgery! It was a fantastic decision! Just saying even Queen Esther had Beaty treatments and was a starlet in her day!
DeleteI love how real Tori and all the Bates are about life and love. It's so refreshing to see a homeschool family loving God and each other while being 'normal' :) I love how the girls rave about the love of their lives and are 'allowed' to express how they feel. Tori is adorable and Bobby seems like such a nice young man. I also have to say little Jeb has just captured my heart! I still giggle when I think about Jeb responding to Judson saying he could break his arm with 'I could break his arm to pieces'! And just as funny, Zach saying he wasn't sure if taking the boys to jiu jitsu was a good idea! I love this family!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you. While not comparing them to any other mega families, the Bates are so down to earth! They all have amazing , happy personalities that don't appear to be put on for the camera. Love this family !!
DeleteTori is a capable and intelligent young woman; she ought to be making her own moolah and preparing for her financial future rather than daydreaming about landing a spouse to do it for her.
ReplyDeleteWho are you to judge that she is?
ReplyDeleteI love that the Bates family believes in education/training. Zach is a police officer, a real one, Erin has her music degree, Michaela has college completed, Tori is getting her teaching degree, Carlin is also at Crown College, Josie is getting her cosmetology training. Nathan is pursuing music but not sure if he has any formal education, and not sure about Nathan. But far better education than the other mega family, and I think that's because both Gil and Kelly are both university educated.
