Photos from the Music Video

As many of you know, Lawson's "Past the Past" music video was released on Thursday. (Click here to watch it.)

We have some behind-the-scenes shots to show you, sent to us by Coffee County News. The music video was filmed on May 4th at multiple locations in Manchester, Tennessee, including Coffee County Central High School, Jiffy Burger, and Carden-Jarrell Stadium. Lawson invited the Coffee County community to join in as extras.

These photos are from the football game scene:

  1. Looks like a great effort and a fun video. Now that you have more experience, let's do "What Country Means to Me" :-)

  5. I have never seen someone's music career be 'pushed' more than Lawson's. Why would he do a music video when he and his siblings were and are not allowed to watch any of them? He's trying hard for his music career, but I just don't think he voice is superior to others' out there already. He has a 'nice' voice, but not special. I know he's only 25, but how long will he give it before looking to something else to support himself? The Bates program and TLC are pushing this.

    1. 8:46- I have to agree. The music career/video makes for a good storyline. I'm sure Lawson is being well-compensated for his TLC participation- no worries!

    2. Most serious performers really "push" their music careers, sometimes for years and years, before finally succeeding or giving up. If they really want it, they try so incredibly hard to get there. Lawson is not unusual. And people with lesser voices have succeeded. It's the whole package that'll get you there, singing talent, songwriting talent, good looks, kindness, charisma, sex appeal, something unique, timing
