Bates Film for Season 7

Gil and Kelly Bates, Isaiah Bates, and Judson Bates with a veteran

The Bates family had a busy weekend. Above, Gil and Kelly and two of the boys are pictured with a decorated special forces green beret veteran they ran into while out and about. They took a photo with him in honor of Veterans Day.

Much of the rest of the weekend was spent in a school gymnasium filming promos for Bringing Up Bates season seven, which premieres January 4th. Everyone was there but the Websters. The family also created content to celebrate the 100th episode, which is just a few episodes away.

    1. Hi there,

Glad to hear your wife is a fan! The Bates have only been filming for 'Bringing Up Bates' for 3 years, so Michael's wedding is the only one that has been on the show.

  5. That looks like a highly decorated Brigadier General to me, so not just an ordinary soldier, but someone who made a career of serving our country.

    1. General Officers do not wear MOS/Branch specific insignia on their lapels or colored shoulder boards. It's hard to tell clearly from the photo, but this presumably former US Army officer left service as either a Major or Lieutenant Colonel in SF.
