As they have in the past, the Bates are spending Thanksgiving weekend in Honea Path, South Carolina, with Gil's side of the family. Michael and Brandon Keilen headed to Michigan to spend the holiday with Brandon's family, but most of the rest of the Bates clan traveled to South Carolina, including the Websters and Carlin's boyfriend, Evan Stewart.

Is there more information about their medical status and IVF procedure? I pray
ReplyDeleteDon’t ask. Just pray for them. When I was going through infertility and the treatments every time someone asked if I was pregnant it stabbed me in the heart. They will tell us when they have news. Please give them privacy in this area, they are suffering enough. I know you asked out of love and concern but please ask God to help them and they will let us know when they are ready.
DeleteSadly, IVF results in far more dead babies than live ones. Thankfully there are more ethical alternatives like NAPRO technology.
DeleteIt’s none of your business.
DeleteAMEN. Let them live their lives. It's none of our business.
Delete5:51- Your statement is as thougthless and insensitive, as it is just plain uninformed. There are countless conflicting studies on IVF miscarriage rates. Most show a slight increase of miscarriage among IVF pregnancies. However, this is qualified by the fact that more women of advanced age experience infertility and naturally carry a higher risk of miscarraige anyway, regardless of conception method. Miscarriage rates among all women run around 20%. The number is thought to be higher, as some women miscarry so early that they weren't aware they were pregnant and don't report it.
DeleteThere are many couples who have had happy IVF outcomes, close friends of mine among them. One of those babies is now 21 years old! I can assure you, they have no regrets about using IVF technology.
my goodness, people are CRUEL. Simply wish them the best and move on. Follow the adage 'if you can't say anything nice...'. This is a very private affair, put into a public eye, by two people who don't always have the answers. OBVIOUSLY.
DeleteTo the person saying it's none of your business, I believe the original poster of question is curious and anyone has a right to be curious. So take your rude remark someplace else.
DeleteAnonymous 10:39... YES!! They live their lives in the public eye, they had better be ready to deal with intrusive questions. If they wanted a quiet life, free from public speculation, the cameras need to go. Women will be asked when they are going to be married, have kids, have more kids. It comes with the territory, but even more so as the oldest girl of 19 kids that stated quite publicly and pretty confidently that they wanted a family. It’s NATURAL to be curious.
DeleteSherri
Sherri- Inferitlity is a very sensitive issue. You may be curious, but being in the public eye does not obligate them to respond to intrusive or insensitive questions.
DeleteNothing better than any holiday in The Mitten State. But I’m a Michigan girl.
ReplyDeleteAgreed!
DeleteThat Bradley is too precious!!
ReplyDeleteHere in Greer,SC it looks like rain! Build fast!
ReplyDeleteLily and Ellie,
ReplyDeleteCan you post pictures of Whitney and Alyssa's Christmas decor?
Thanks!
Did Erin and Chad and kids go to South Carolina or did they spend it with Chad's family?
ReplyDeleteI thing Jeb is going to need to get glasses the way he squients (sorry if it's spelled wrong) his eyes.
ReplyDeletePerhaps the sun is in his eyes?
DeleteHe could be in mid blink. Also the sun is shining on his face.
DeleteSome people's eyes squint when they smile. You have not idea if he needs glasses or not. His parents have raised many children, some of which have glasses. So, it's likely that they are on top of any needs that their children have.
DeleteAt 9:38, just because parents have raised children who have glasses doesn't necessarily mean anything. I told my mom I thought that I needed glasses, but she thought I just wanted glasses because my oldest sister had them. The school had to send a note home telling my parents they needed to get my eyes checked. It turns out I probably should have had them two years earlier. Parents aren't always paying attention, but every child should have their eyes checked before they go to school.
DeleteOur pediatrician always checked our kids’ eyes every year at their appointments. I would assume the Bates’ children get checked as well.
DeleteHAPPY THANKSGIVING to y'all love you and God bless you and your family
ReplyDeleteJeb is looking like Trace :)
