The first time we were introduced to Bobby Smith was on Valentine's Day 2016, which was shown on Bringing Up Bates "A LOVEly Day." At that point, Bobby and Tori were still just friends. They met through a mutual friend--Kelton Balka, who is now Josie Bates' boyfriend--over fall break 2015.
Exactly one year later, during fall break 2016, Bobby asked Tori to begin an official courtship while the Bates were vacationing in Pensacola, Florida.
Rather than wait until the following fall break to ask Tori to marry him, Bobby popped the big question a little bit sooner...and Tori said yes! Their wedding is just five days away.

ReplyDeleteI remember watching that clip on YouTube but when Nathan was dating Ashley the sad part is they broke up. I thought they were a great amazing couple. But so happy Tori found her prince charming Bobby Smith. When they get to their 80s as a married couple they will tell their grandkids how they met in college etc. Great couple.
ReplyDeleteThey didn't actually meet in college. He graduated from a college in Florida, and she is in college in Tennessee.

DeleteNo, I think he just means he has liked a lot of girls. As a Christian, he wouldn’t make jokes about being “around”, since he believes in waiting until marriage.
DeleteNot necessarily. It could mean he was playing the game of "I wonder how many girls I can get interested in me". Then he realized there was no point to that because he was interested in Tori. It also could have just made a good verse to the song.

ReplyDeleteIt's just an expression. You are 'chasing' girls if you haven't committed to any one in particular, and are trying to find one interested in you.
