Why? She knew he had it. All the girls tell their boyfriends exactly what they want/expect. All these families seem to have “family” Jewelers where they all then get custom designed rings. Why pretend otherwise?
I agree. Tori and Kelly seem awfully focused on the ring. Kelly was waning a ring from Evan for his and Carlin's courtship. Gil seems a little more reticent about things. I think Tori was asking about the ring before Bobby even got in the RV.
Yikes! I wonder if Tori watched this and was at all embarrassed by her behavior? I don’t know if she was trying to be funny or over-the-top for camera crews, but her “ where’s the ring” situation was most unflattering.
I thought it was quite humorous! They both clearly knew at that point that they would be getting married/engaged and she wanted to see the ring she knew he had! I’m sure it it wasn’t completely in jest, she is obviously anxious to be engaged (clearly shown in the episode) but she wasn’t being obnoxious about it. Some girls want the surprise factor, some girls don’t. And he didn’t seem to mind at all... “What’s a ring?”. They’re such a cute couple!
As I watched the episode, I was thinking back to the time that I was hoping for an engagement ring and praying with excited hopes that God had the same plan, that I had.Young Love is such an amazing rollercoaster of emotions. I think that ,as well age,we lose sight of how it felt to be young and excited and even impatient. I hope that Tori never feels embarrassed about how she acted during this magical time in her life. She will find many times in the future, to feel embarrassed. But, we should ALL be so blessed, as to have these "embarrassing" moments to bring joy to us in our later years. Thank God that I have a myriad of memories from my (possibly) over-exuberant youth! Maybe we should be happy for them and try to remember that we were once young and if we were blessed with a relationship like theirs, we might be joyfully impatient. I pray that their love will bring many more times of 'embarrassment' In their future! I'd even love to have a bit of that 'Excitement' in this grandmothers life. *If Bobby isn't upset about it. Why should we take issue?

That kind of blows the fun when the girl asks for the ring.

DeleteIt seemed rather forward.
Delete3:33 when Kelly said ring she meant he should go ahead and propose to Carlin since the "courtship proposal" was so elaborate
Delete"Where's the ring?"
ReplyDelete"I don't know what your talking about."
"Where'd you put it?" (looks through his car)
