Tori Bates and Bobby Smith have been Mr. and Mrs. Smith for nearly two months. With Tori student teaching and Bobby working and helping out at the Bates' church, this couple has been busy. After Tori's graduation in May, they plan to move to the Nashville area, where Bobby has accepted a job.

ReplyDeleteSo very happy for y'all may God bless you always. Patricia
ReplyDeleteCongratulations. Love the Bates family. They truly love the Lord. Thankful for their good example.
ReplyDeletethey are the cutest couple!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt proves no matter what age straight couple or not love is for everyone Bobby & Tori now proves that. Not all marriages are happy some are some arent. Hoping I get married & Found my true love. I can't wait for the Royal wedding on may 19 th when Prince Harry marries Meghan Markle. The key to make a marriage work is to trust each other & to be a team. All married couples fight & Make up. But don't hang out all the time sometimes you can hang out with friends. Tori & Bobby Smith I wish you guys the best of luck weather you guys have kids or not still can be happy as a married couple. There is no age limit for love. Time 10:38PM
ReplyDeleteYou are very wise Neddy. There is indeed no age limit for love. I hope you find your true love soon.
DeleteBlessings to you💕
? Neddy they're only 10 months apart in age.
DeleteI don't think Neddy was referring to an age difference. Just that Bobby and Tori did get married at a much younger age than the average American does these days (if they even get married at all).
DeleteI can think of many social circles where if a 22 year old man and 21 year woman got engaged the reaction wouldn't be "Congratulations" but "Are you sure? You're both young, why don't you date other people first to make sure you've found the right one?" Or perhaps "Why don't you live together for a year or two to make sure you're compatible?" Or even "Don't you know that if you get married before age 26 you're MUCH more likely to divorce?" (The last one is actually true, but that doesn't mean ALL young marriages are doomed to end in divorce. It really depends on each couple.)
I was 18 and my husband was 20 when we got married. This year will be our 7th wedding anniversary. We were each others first and only love and these flew by like a day. We dont regret marrying young at all. Yes at times it was tough but we grew and matured together and this only makes us love each other more and makes our marriage stronger. Keys of marriage are forgivness patience and being open with each other.
DeleteSo happy for this beautiful couple! God bless their marriage!
ReplyDeleteBobby and Tori are the cutest couple. Is it true that Nathan is courting a new girl?
ReplyDeleteI hope and pray that is so. Where did you hear that?
DeleteThey are such a wonderful couple and this is a great job opportunity for Bobby. Nashville's only a couple hours drive away. So they can visit the Bates often and vis versa. Same with the Smith family too.
ReplyDeleteIs it possible to watch the Bates show in Europe ?
ReplyDeleteThey are super cute!
ReplyDeleteHe will be the new youth pastor at Bible Baptist Church in Hendersonville, Tennessee. After Tori graduates, they will be moving there at the end of May. He has already accepted the position and both he and Tori have been up to the church a couple of times to be part of special services. My family and I are currently members at the church, so we have been watching all of this unfold these last several months.
ReplyDeleteI thought the church was in Andersonville, TN? From what I've seen above, Bobby and Tori are supposed to be moving to the Nashville, TN area.
DeleteThe Bates Family church is in Andersonville. Tori & Bobby ate movinf after she graduates. It was posted before that he already accepted a position.
DeleteGreat pic of them
ReplyDeleteGood for them! I'm curious; is a youth pastor' s salary enough to live on???
ReplyDeleteDepends on the size of the church but all the churches I have been to, they also have a secular job to supplement. Also I believe Tori plans on teaching for the time being.
DeleteThey receive a TV salary.
DeleteThanks for the info! Wonder what Bobby will do to supplement his youth pastor income?
DeleteWe watched a house flipping show last night, and they talked about the housing market in Nashville skyrocketing lately. Hopefully Tori and Bobby will be able to find an affordable place in Nashville.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry, they also have a TV salary to supplement. Why do some people here think that this family lives solely on the husbands' incomes? UP pays them for their appearances.
ReplyDeleteOf course they get TV money but it would be foolhardy to live a certain lifestyle assuming that money is always going to be there.
DeleteBut I'm sure the Bates realize there's no guarantee the "TV salary" is going to be there forever. After all, they once had a TV show on another network, but that was cancelled.
I am sure they have all the details figured out ahead of the marriage. They are raised with a good head on their shoulders. They make plans & know what they are doing. Very nice to see young love & with the right morals. I am sure they will be able to do anything they choose to do. I also don't think that their decisions in life revolves around what UP pays them. They seem like a very fun loving family! Thanks for the update
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your marriage YA"LL SO SUCH A CUTE COUPLE GOD BLESS YA"LL
ReplyDeleteWhat was the name of the pastor that started the wedding? Before Gil gave Tori away? He looked like someone I know.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the 'ville Tori and Bobby! See ya around!
