The Chicago area has been covered in a thick blanket of snow this week, with more falling this weekend. Michael and Brandon Keilen took advantage of the beautiful winter wonderland with an evening of outdoor ice skating. Do you enjoy skating? Have you been watching the Olympics?

ReplyDeleteLooks fun but cold.I live in middle Georgia and when it does finally snow.It is a major thing. We don't really know how to drive properly in the snow. Accidents everywhere and schools close for days as well as many businesses. It is fun on the first day. Then, it becomes a slick mess of ice,power outages ,etc. most every time. But, it only happens every couple of years or so. We look like the Michelin man all bundled up. Just to go outside for a few minutes because we aren't used to the cold and snow. Quite a humorous sight. But, I enjoy watching it on TV or online. So beautiful and looks like alot of fun! During the last snow,my neighbor called and said she enjoyed looking out of her window and seeing me making a Snow Angel. I thanked her before telling her that looks can be deceiving. I had truly slipped and couldn't get up. But, it gave us a big chuckle.

DeleteI recall he was writing one but never herd that it was published. I'm sure they'll say if it does get picked up by a publisher. Or he could go the self-published route.

ReplyDeleteI live in Moline Illinois 4 hours from Chicago and we had 6 inches off snow that past weekend.
I love to ice skate! I grew up on a lake and did it every chance I had time! At 57; I still skate whenever I have the opportunity!!!
