The Bates aren't the most adventurous folks when it comes to trying new foods, but when they do step out of their comfort zones, it sure is entertaining to watch. In the video below, they try another international dessert and attempt to guess the country from which it comes. Three-year-old Bradley might just be the most adventurous Bates!

Not this again!
ReplyDeleteWay to go Carson! You have class, manners and courage! The rest of your extended family needs to take note!
ReplyDeleteOh my stars! Isaiah looks just like a mini Kelly Jo
ReplyDeleteJamaica, too!
ReplyDeleteLet's see how many times and ways the Bates family can make fun of other countries foods? In my opinion, they are incredibly rude!
ReplyDeleteI agree.
DeleteThey sure are! They should stick to going to the Dixie Stampede and Silver Dollar City with their attitudes!
DeleteIt isn’t making fun of the food to say it smells weird. Some American food smells weird too. I hate the smell of seafood. It doesn’t make me rude. I just can’t eat it. Everyone has different taste buds and sensitivities to smells.
DeleteYay! That's our traditional wedding cake - rich fruit cake - the same as our Christmas cake recipe here in England. I love it. I can't believe Kelly turns her nose up at it straight away, funny to watch.
ReplyDeleteWe get it! The Bates don’t like food from other cultures. Perhaps a refresher course in “if you can’t say something nice don’t say anything at all” is in order?
ReplyDeleteOh my. I didn't see it at all as rude. Completely agree that everyone's taste preferences are different. They were just having some fun, as families do. I also feel some are only too willing to criticize others for perceived slights. There was no slight intended, so why take it as one? Relax.
