Running from the cows
“During our building project, we had some other people
competing for our workers. Every few minutes, I’d see some
little pretty girl walking over there, like one of my sisters…and off they go.”
-Nathan Bates
During a break from barn building, Kelton Balka takes Josie Bates over to the pasture to pet the cows. The result isn't exactly what they had hoped for. Check out this sneak peek of tomorrow's episode.

Am I the only one who doesn't like Nathan saying "one little pretty girl"? It sounds kind of deminishing.
ReplyDeleteI don’t like it either. It sounds creepy.
DeleteI think it's sweet that he refers to his sisters as pretty (because they are). The comment is more about how easily the men are distracted by the girls. This is how life has been since time began.
DeleteAnonymous 7:44, why "men" and "girls"? You see? It's deminishing. They are women just as much as they are men.
DeleteDidn't think it sounded "deminishing" (did you mean diminishing or demeaning, perhaps?). I think Nathan just still sees his younger sisters as girls. Josie's 18, barely a woman. Give it a few years and his perception will change. Besides, the guys they're dating are in their 20s, so definitely men.
DeleteI agree with Anon at 2:03PM that it sounds creepy, at least when taken out of context. But I seriously doubt Nathan actually meant to say he finds his own sisters physically attractive. However I'm a little surprised that comment made it to TV.
DeleteOh that's sweet!
ReplyDeleteYour good at that even in a skirt! Awesome!
ReplyDeleteI think it was more like a term of endearment.
