"At first, they're all gung-ho...but their attention spans are not that long."
-Gil Bates
On tomorrow's episode, Gil recruits Judson and Jeb to help him build a seesaw. The boys are thrilled to begin the project, but they are a little less excited to carry it to completion (see video below).

Too cute!! I just love the "at home" episodes.
ReplyDeleteThose are definitely my favorite episodes too! Such a wonderful family!
DeleteDon’t the Bates have a bad habit of starting projects and never finishing?
ReplyDeleteThey finish things, it sometimes just takes a long time. The seesaw was finished on the show.
DeleteThat's really cute. I appreciate Gil being very attentive to the boys safety.
ReplyDeleteHaha, just regular kids, wanting to go eat or go rest. Soooo funny. I like Gil's patience. Keeping it real!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI have a feeling that if it wasn't being filmed there'd be no safety glasses. From what I've seen in previous episodes(litttle ones riding horses with Ho helmets, etc.), they aren't very safety conscious. JMO
ReplyDeleteMaybe so, maybe not. Impossible to tell unless we're there.
DeleteThey aren’t even wearing actual safety goggles, they’re wearing sunglasses...
DeleteLove love love this family tonite episode was so sweet why can't everyone be as wonderful as this family the word would be a much much better place
ReplyDeleteLooks like the clip with Bobbi and Tori was just thrown into the episode.
ReplyDeleteWhy are these shows listed as an hour but are only 30 minutes?? Love the Bates family. Thanks Ellie. Read your blog daily.
ReplyDeleteSorry - that home made see-saw appears to be a danger - anyone can look at it and see a half dozen problems with it. Some one is going to hit their face on the wood sticking up by the handles.
ReplyDeleteLove this show. Really more entertaining then the Duggers.
ReplyDeleteI agree. The bates seem more real, while the duggars seem staged. Plus the duggard are so behind, it gets confusing and frustrating!
DeleteThat was fun to see
