"Everything...smells like I want to eat it."
-Gil Bates
Flashback to the day when Josie Bates and Kelton Balka started courting. While walking around Gatlinburg, Tennessee, with their parents, they walk into a candy shop to pick up some "souvenirs" for the Bates kids back home and to watch some of the demonstrations. Josie and Kelly are especially entertained by the taffy machine.

My girls loved candy stores when they were little and they still do now they are young adults. I do too as a matter of fact😊
ReplyDeleteTalk about bringing back memories. My Mom and Granny use to do the same thing. Buy Taffy to take home for us and neighbors.
ReplyDeleteWere they not actually souvenirs? I don’t get it.
ReplyDeleteThey’re Josie and Kelton Balka now, not Josie Bates and kelton’s balka
ReplyDeleteThis event happened before Josie and Kelton married. It was right after their courtship started. Read the post. The explanation is in the first few sentences. Really it makes sense to read the post before making a comment.
