The Bates Love Christmas

Are you in the Christmas spirit yet? It's not quite December, but the Bates are ready for the holiday season to begin. In fact, they put up their outdoor Christmas lights at the end of October. (Do you think that's too early?)

To kick off the advent season, we have a Bates Christmas music video to share, featuring some of the Bates kids singing "Go Tell It On the Mountain." This clip was filmed in December 2015.

    I love Christmas (we have our decorations up already) but October would be too early even for me!

    I had a teacher who kept up a fake Christmas tree all year, decorating it for different holidays. That made her happy and it was her house. Same goes for the Bates. It’s personal preference, not right or wrong.

    The lights going up early is ok. Gotta do it before it's too cold, we do it in Michigan.

    No its not to early to put up lights up. They wanted to do it before it got cold.

    We put our outdoor decorations up mostly on the day after Thanksgiving although this year we did it a few days earlier simply because the weather cooperated. October seems a little early but hey, to each his own. I'd rather see them go up early instead of keeping them up until March. But that's just me.

    The end of October is way too early! Halloween is my favorite holiday, so I have my jack-o-lanterns and talking raven decoration outside at that time. A lot of my neighbors put up amazing Halloween decorations too. I don't decorate for Christmas until the day after Thanksgiving.

    October is really early - here in UK a lot of people still don't put lights & their tree up until mid-December.

    October is way too early for me, however many people in my neighborhood decorate early. Life is too short to judge! Can't wait to see the new shows in January!
