Like clockwork, the Bates have another fun-filled episode in store for fans tonight on UPtv.
Thursday, February 7
8pm: A Sweet Shower & a Surprise Switch
8:30pm: The Maine Event
9pm: Bate and Switch NEW!
It’s a sweet surprise for Katie's 18th Birthday when her family celebrates the occasion with two of her favorite things: pizza and ice cream. This birthday girl is hard to surprise and doesn't enjoy being the center of attention, but she sure looks happy.
And soon-to-be newlyweds Josie Bates and Kelton Balka shop for an apartment they can share together once they're married. Realtor Whitney Bates tags along to give the young couple her expertise and be their chaperone one last time.
Meanwhile, 16-year-old Jackson Bates has saved up money from his construction jobs to buy his own used truck, but he quickly realizes that buying a fixer upper is a “big project.”
And later, Josie and her bridesmaids head to Renee's Bridal shop in Kentucky for dress alterations. But when Renee takes scissors to Josie’s bodice, will her dream dress turn into a nightmare?

Katie is gorgeous! 😍
ReplyDeleteI agree!
DeleteWhy do people keep commenting on the physical appearnace of the Bates girls? It seems so inappropriate. What does this have to do with their godliness?
DeleteI was wondering why Renee was the one to do the alterations on Josie's wedding gown, and not the designer in NYC, but I guess it's because Kentucky is so much closer.
ReplyDeleteSame here. That was awful nice of Renee to do that. Josie should have gone there in the first place and let Renee make a copycat of this special dress she wanted. It wasn't really right or good etiquette to ask Renee to do it. Not to mention bad publicity for the other dress designer in New York.
DeleteI thought it wasn’t offensive to let her butcher that dress on tv being bought from another designer that was also aired.
DeleteI can't wait!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait until tonight 😁💖
ReplyDeleteHow can a wedding dress designer not get a fitting right?! Maybe Josie was too shy to tell the big city designer that the dress was poorly designed! The set of the sleeves was amatuer! To me it would almost be an insult for Renee to be called in to fix the dress. Surely, Renee could have custom designed something very similar? Fortunately for the Bates, they have established a good relationship with Renee. I don't know of any wedding sales and design boutique that typically would fix a dress purchased elsewhere.
ReplyDeleteYeah- I didn't get that part. They went all the way to New York twice and the dress didn't fit? I think that Renee fixed it for the good publicity. Most bridal stores wouldn't touch that dress. Kelly and Josie sure weren't assertive in the New York situation- Unless there was more to the story than UPTV didn't air...
DeleteI agree "was there more to the story"?? Really seems awful leaving a bridal shop not being able to lift your arms. Hopefully Carlin will get her dress from Renee.
