More Photos of Carlin's Engagement Spot

Last September, Carlin Bates and Evan Stewart got engaged at Portland Head Lighthouse in Portland, Maine. We shared their engagement photos, but we thought it would be fun to give you a chance to see a few more snapshots of the popular tourist attraction, so you can more clearly picture the location that Evan chose for the proposal.

      Too much “ show” going on in this family. Would love to see just one courtship and engagement, followed by a sweet kiss and embrace. No family waiting in the wings, cheering, clapping and making a scene and taking credit for the whole set up.

    I look forward to Carlin and Evan’s wedding and proceedings. However, I am thankful the female Bates and Duggar courtships, engagements, and weddings loop will hopefully, take a break for a few years. I can’ t wait for the boys to settle down though and find their soul mates and also Jana Duggar!
    Hoping they will keep things more real

    Does Gil actually either work his tree business or pastor his church anymore? He always seems to be traveling?

      Since the show only gives us glimpses and highlights of their life, I'm sure he doesn't sit around twiddling his thumbs when the cameras aren't rolling.
