Today is the second-to-last of five double Bates birthdays this year. The
first two (February 1st and 17th) are Bates children, and the third is a
sibling and a grandchild. This one is a Bates child and an in-law.
And the last one of the year (November 9th) will be a Bates child and a grandchild. Happy 9th birthday to Judson Bates, and happy 30th birthday to Brandon

ReplyDeleteWearing a hat in a picture is strongly embracing?? I know some associate his campaign slogan with racism, but I know there are black supporters of Trump. I've seen them in their MAGA attire too.

ReplyDeleteBut I'm also surprised to see any member of the Bates family wearing MAGA paraphernalia given that their wholesome' debt-free, scripture-focused brand seems incompatible with a man that is crass, claims he's never asked the Lord for forgiveness (a critical element of our faith), and lacks empathy for the weakest among us. Voting for him I would understand but celebrating his brand makes the Bates seem disingenuous to me, too.
