Alyssa Webster just shared an update on her heart condition. She had surgery nine days ago, and although her followup appointment was delayed due to Hurricane Dorian, which turned out to be a mild storm in Florida, she was able to visit the doctor today.
After an electrocardiogram/EKG (a quick and easy test that measures the heart's electrical activity) and an echocardiogram (an ultrasound of the heart), Dr. Bhavya Trivedi informed Alyssa that her arrhythmia appears to be gone! She will have another appointment in six months to make sure that things still look good.

That’s great news!
ReplyDeleteHow does she look so good after 3 kids???
ReplyDeleteShe’s only 24 years old
DeleteGenetics.
Delete4:22PM: I didn't look that good at 24, and I was still single, no kids! Alyssa is a beauty, 3 kids and looks like a model!!!!
DeleteKind of ridiculous to say "genetics". It is plain hard work to not gain too much during pregnancy and to lose weight it afterwards. Good for Alyssa! Anyone can do it if they are determined.
Delete7:38- It's not ridiculous. Studies show that a sizable portion of the variation in weight among adults is due to genetic factors. That's not to say that behavior and environmentd don't have a role, they do. But some people have a harder time losing weight than others. It's not that they can't, it's just more of a challenge. Some people are blessed with a metabolism that makes it easier to not gain weight.
DeleteI have to work out harder and eat less than my sister in order to maintain the very same weight that she does. She is more high-strung than I am and also has high-blood pressure, which I don't. I'm more laid back and just naturally don't burn off as many calories as she does.
Praise God! Praying for continued healing! 🙏🏻❤️
ReplyDeleteWonderful news. Praise God!!
ReplyDeleteAwesome!
ReplyDeleteAlleluia!! Praise the Lord! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you God! I hope she gets plenty of rest. Scary to go through according to a friend of mine who went through the same thing. She’s fine now.
ReplyDeleteBest news!!!! Praise the Lord for such positive news and I hope the arrhythmia never comes back.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are doing well. I love Bringing Up Bates.
ReplyDeleteWonderful! So happy for her!
ReplyDeleteBless you all! Hope your recovery is swift and permanent!!
ReplyDeleteI have the same issue that Alyssa has and I am doing great also. SO prayers do work along with modern medicine.
ReplyDeleteI am very happy to read that she very well may be cured. If I wer her though, I would be cautious about putting undue stress on my heart and have more children. She has 3 beautiful daughters and it would NOT be wise to risk it. Labor & delivery is a stress on the entire body as well as the heart. God helps those who help themselves. Don't be careless & foolish.
ReplyDeleteIf you watch the show, she mentioned that she is NOT planning on having a lot of children. She said that six is the max that she will have. As for how many children she can carry, that is between her, her husband and her doctors, not random commenters.
DeleteSVT is not caused by a 'stress on the heart' and pregnancy does not necessarily make it recur.
DeleteActually, pregnancy plays a role in the development of SVT. A simple google will tell you this.
DeleteSo happy for you. I pray you stay healthy.
ReplyDeleteHope all is well sorry to hear of your ♥️ problems. Hope you start to feel better real soon so that U can get back to UR 3: beautiful daughters and UR wonderful husband God bless here is an 👼 for U UR side guiding U and UR wonderful family's. All my love Andrea from Utah.
