9pm: A Very Medieval I Love You Day NEW!
I Love You Day is here again, and the whole Bates crew gathers for an elaborate “chivalry” themed party with food, games, and amazing costumes. Before the big event, Kelly Jo and the girls decorate for the party and get caught up on all the biggest family news like Carlin and Evan’s wedding plans, Trace’s romantic prospect, and the exciting news that Michaella and Brandon might be moving to Tennessee! Meanwhile, the Bates boys hit the slopes for the day in a “Battle of the Brothers,” as snowboarder Lawson and skier Nathan compete for the fastest speeds. Later, the love fest continues when Josie and Kelton invite their family over for a gender reveal party. When the balloon pops, will it be baby boy or baby girl!?

9pm: A Blushing Bride to Be NEW!
Kelly Jo, Erin, and Carlin head to Nashville to help Carlin with the #1 thing on her wedding to-do list - finding a wedding dress! While there, they take the opportunity to spend a little time with Tori, Baby Kade, and Lawson. When the group takes a trip to TopGolf, Erin and Lawson enjoy some friendly sibling competition, and Carlin and Evan enjoy some couple time. And finally, Carlin tries on her dream wedding gown; but will it still be the one, when the bride to be realizes the dress is slightly pink?

This all sounds so contrived. I doubt large families live like this.
ReplyDeleteTrust me we do. 😂 I’m from a family of 10 and we do stuff like this almost all the time.
DeleteLarge families who are close find ways of staying connected. It takes a great deal of effort to remain close. It's a closed minded view to group "large families" together. The Bates make the effort and time to be a part of each other's lives. They are a prime example of a well adjusted family ...large or small!
DeleteTotally agree!
DeleteI agree, there doesn't seem to be much reality in this reality TV show anymore.
DeleteIf you don't believe it, why are you still here?
DeleteThis is one of the best if not thee best reality shows on tv.
DeleteIf you ever met any of the family, you would know what we see on TV is 100% their reality.
Deleteoh my gosh i can not wait for this to come back on, I have been watching you sense the first time on TV. I love you all. so happy for all of the weddings, the new baby's that are all here and now on the way.....one day i will be able to meet all of you......
ReplyDeleteI think they are a lovey family, and am looking forward to the new season
ReplyDeleteMO- Once again, the producers of this show are forgetting why people watch it to begin with. The days of a humble family went out the window a long time ago. It's starting to remind me of a Game Show, each family member trying to out-do the other one. It will be interesting to see how many people continue to watch this- :o)
ReplyDeleteWhy do you assume everyone was watching for the same reasons you were? I personally enjoy watching various family dynamics and seeing how they play out in different groups.
DeleteReply to 2:40PM. MO- I don't think that everyone watches for the same reason that I do. But I've read other viewers comments and I think a lot of people are not thrilled with the "new dynamics" of the show. :o)
DeleteRemember anonymous 10:07- it’s a “reality” show! Everything scripted!
ReplyDeleteAnonymous 9/7/2019 @ 2:18pm
DeleteThis show is not scripted. This is what the Bates do.
The producer's don't tell them what to say this is their own words.
The prod
Everyone who has been on a reality show reports that it is scripted. Of course, they don't tell the little kids what to do. But Gil and Kelly most likely meet with the producers and come up with ideas that would be good for the show (white water rafting? A trip to the zoo?). Do you think the Bates (who are very frugal) would rent costumes for an elaborate Valentines Day celebration on their own? Do you think that they did so before the show? UP gives the adults a rough idea of what to say ("Discuss Michaela's visit to the doctor" "Talk about Carson and Brooklyn's reaction to a new sister") and the Bates do it! I'm sure they wouldn't do anything that went against their values. On the other hand, they do stretch the truth a bit, as we've all noticed, as when Josie pretended she didn't know Kelton was going to propose. That scene, and others, have to be done over and over, because the lighting and sound have to be exactly right. If Josie's "Oh my goodness, I'm so surprised!" comes out muffled and flat, they do it again and again. Till it's perfect.
DeleteCall it Valentines Day. No matter what they think of us Catholics it is a holiday named after a Catholic priest.
ReplyDeleteI don't think it has anything to do with your religion.
DeleteI think the change had more to do with wanting to celebrate it as a day for familial love and not just necessarily romantic love. They’ve also said it has become their big gift-giving holiday because it’s easier to get everyone together in February than at Christmas.
DeleteBesides, Valentines isn’t usually regarded as religious so I doubt the name change was a slight to those of the Catholic faith.
Of course it’s all contrived. UPtv has a popular show to produce; so, they need to have a bunch of scenarios to create for the Bates. Real life may be a bit more active than an average family of 4; but limited in its interest factor!!!
ReplyDeleteDon't watch it then
DeleteNobody wants to hear about stuff from 6-7 months ago. The lag time has gotten ridiculous!
ReplyDeleteIt is ridiculous, especially having a gender reveal for a baby already born
DeleteLot's of families have parties,go skiing and help with choosing a wedding dress, life is about fun also notjust duties.
ReplyDeleteI just have loved watching your family grow up marry and start families of their own. I just can't get enough I hope that this season things turn around for Micheal and Brandon for they deserve to enjoy life with children to
ReplyDeleteI’m interested to hear about Michael’s new adventure with nursing school and her career plans. She’s obviously moving on with her life. So should fans.
DeleteI'm so excited for this and EVERY season to begin! In fact, they should have year long seasons!:D
ReplyDeleteHi everyone* I love your show & I'm looking forward to the new season* I think you all are a beautiful loving, family*
ReplyDeleteOh, I so want Michealla to have a baby. I hate that they are having fertility issues😥
ReplyDeleteMO- Oh please, stop this constant "Poor Michaella" crusade! She already stated that they were going to take a step back and leave the issue alone for awhile- just leaving it up to God. She's in school and she's doing what she wants to do for now. Don't cause this woman more anxiety by constantly posting about her inability to conceive. :o(
DeleteI’m very excited! Thanks so much for sharing<3 looks to be a great season for the Bates family
ReplyDeleteMany large families I know live just like this. They're very close and help one another at a moment's notice. God,Faith, family and friends.
ReplyDeleteAMEN
DeleteI wish we were able to see the last 3 seasons in Australia- we have been left high and dry- missing the gorgeous Bates family and only getting to see facebook posts and updtes- but never episodes. :(
ReplyDeleteYou can pay uptv.com $5 a month and
Deleteget the station online
I really like following the show, but agree about the lag time. Carlin is pregnant and we have her just now picking out her wedding dress!!😩
ReplyDeleteWell, to be fair, she got pregnant right after the wedding
DeleteI really enjoyed watching the Bates Family very encouraging show
ReplyDeleteLove this wholesome show
ReplyDeleteI love this show and love how close they all are. I'm glad they share the highs and lows. For all of the complainers, nobody is making you watch it. The rest of us want it to stay on. It's a clean show too.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, when the balloon pops, what will it be???? I can hardly wait.
ReplyDeleteI detect sarcasm here...lol
DeleteI cant wait for ne . Season
ReplyDeleteCant wait for the season to get started I wish it was a weekly show all year.
