We have some big news to brighten up your Tuesday. UPtv just announced the Bringing Up Bates season nine premiere date! The Bates will return with new episodes on Thursday, March 5, 2020, at 9pm ET/8pm CT, only on UPtv. And guess what? Season nine will feature a brand new opener. Check it out in the video below.

ReplyDeleteMO- To tell you the truth Ellie and Lily have done such a great job at keeping me up-dated about the Bates Family, that I don't miss the show! Everything on the show happened months ago and I guess I like current events. But I know The Bates fans will be thrilled that the show is returning so I'm happy for them! :o)

ReplyDeleteSo glad to see that this opening video was redone. Oh those children have grown up. Still hate that Kelly Jo sticks out her tongue. I was taught that it was ugly to stick out your tongue. I am older than her but somethings are just rude and ugly no matter the age.

I only think they redid the smaller children- looks like the older ones are the same!
DeleteThey were all re-shot doing similar moves/poses as last time. If you don't believe me, it is clear by their appearances and clothing that they aren't the same shots.
DeleteIt looks like they only partially changed the opening, some of them look like the exact same poses, too bad everyone would have done something different.They really are going to be far behind,March seems so far away😉I can't wait.🤗

DeleteIt has always made me disappointed that the boys get to do fun flips and poses but the girls have to be statues. In multiple episodes, the guys are playing sports and taking part in physical activities, but not the girls. Being "ladylike" is so ingrained in the girls. Make-up, hair, and clothing don't matter...live life and have fun, Girls!

Delete7:12, looks to me like Katie is doing that to keep her shirt from going up when she jumps. If that's the case, she has a totally legitimate reason to care how she looks!
DeleteIf you look carefully, it's the ones wearing tops rather than dresses who are being more careful. They don't want their tops going up while they're jumping. I don't have a problem with that. I'd rather not see their bellies.

ReplyDeleteWhat new opener? They're just older now doing exactly the same thing as in the old one. Aren't the girls allowed to 'flip' like the boys do? The girls just 'bounce up and down'. Sad that they can't be athletic too. UP needs to think of a NEW opening.

DeleteThey did that for photo shoots, but for the show opener, it would already be out of date. UP isn't going to pay to reshoot every single time someone has a baby or gets married.
DeleteIt seems the girls are trying to look attractive with their poses, while the boys are just having fun. Oddly, when you try so hard to look good you become less attractive, not more.
