  1. It's unfortunate they need to promote such an image of "perfection." That's unrealistic and actually creates false expectations among their viewers. Why not show real life instead of this "storybook wedding" stuff?

    1. It was her wedding. It WAS her reality.

    2. @3:51... I couldn't agree more! The show, as it has become over the past two years, has lost its appeal for me. Over this long break in seasons, I did however watch reruns of seasons 1 thru 6 a lot, but omitted seasons 7 and 8 completely which in my estimation were too
      staged and Unrealistically scripted.

    4. False expectations of what? Why are you begrudging her a beautiful wedding?

    5. There is nothing wrong with a beautiful wedding. We need beauty in life to enjoy and inspire us. God created beauty, just look at all the beautiful flowers in the world. Your comment sounds cynical. I don’t know many brides that don’t want a beautiful wedding day. They will have lovely memories from this day. They’re not hurting anyone with their choices. I’ve thought at times that perhaps some of the Bates’s values have changed, but I see nothing wrong with wanting a lovely wedding day. It’s a day of celebration. These are the days that make life special. Weddings were even celebrated in the Bible. Most brides do try to make their day “perfect “, whatever that means to them

    6. I agree. I doubt everything was perfect, why pretend? It seems so sad and forced when Evan clicked his heels like that. I prefer serious, down-to-earth humble people, not this fake storybook stuff.

    7. 9:10, why do you assume they were pretending? It's possible to have a wedding day that goes well.

    8. I agree. I get many women want a big beautiful wedding, but nothing is perfect. Why make it fake? It just seemed over-the-top to me.

    9. 2:03, what was fake about it? Over the top doesn't equal fake.

  3. Yes, Carlin's wedding was beautiful and we saw lots of it last season. I just hope they are moving on now to something else this next season. So glad they are coming back.

    1. It normally is on Amazon just a few days later. I always have to buy it off Amazon because I no longer get UPTV. We still have Comcast, but they don't have UP on ours anymore.

  5. we are super excited to see the new shows, as much as I love to watch them, and as beautiful as Carlin's wedding and honeymoon pictures were, I sure wish they would move on and focus on the other kiddos more.

  6. I love watching this family. But Carlin is difficult to watch because she has a lot of growing up to do.

  7. Hey remember your Canadian watcher, throw us a bones sometimes, and put some shows on UPs TV. At, 1 time Canadian's were able to watch at least 3 show @ the end of the season, but U can;t now, and that sucks!!!
