Gil Bates waits outside the hospital
When a head-on collision with Warden Bates leaves Trace Bates in bad condition, it's time for a visit to the emergency room. And it just so happens that Tori Smith is in the hospital at the very same time, preparing to deliver Kolter Smith. You know what they say, when it rains it pours. Or, when one of your 19 children ends up in the hospital, another is sure to follow.
You won't want to miss tonight's new episode of Bringing Up Bates, scheduled to drop on UPtv at 9pm ET/8pm CT.

When I first read the headline I was thinking a major car accident!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness!!! Hope Trace will be just fine! What in the world happened?
ReplyDeleteScared me! I thought it meant they had a head-on car accident. Thank goodness it was just playing basketball!
ReplyDeleteA head-on collision refers to a traffic accident. Confusing.
ReplyDeleteOoorrr, it could literally mean 2 ppl playing bball hit heads - that too would refer to Head on Collision
DeleteConfused me to.
DeleteDon't those young men have jobs? It's all play, play, play for the Bates.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking the same thing. They seem awfully lazy for a family that preaches about hard work.
DeleteYes,they work for Gil's tree cutting company, they work hard and play hard unlike many boys who grow up playing video games and end up getting easy sedentary jobs, the Bates boys weren't brought up to be lazy.
DeleteWarden was 16 when this was filmed and still in school.
DeleteThe show has covered what Trace does, works in construction and part time with the sheriff's department.
They do have jobs. Trace works in law enforcement and also works with Chad's construction company. Warden also works for Chad's construction company. The TV show does not give a 24/7 view of their lives. They are allowed to enjoy time off with friends and family, no rules against it. The show likes to show more of the fun play than the boring work they do. Please do not be harsh on them. God bless you.
DeleteThey are actually pretty hard working people but this was during the quarantine so no, probably not working at the time.
DeleteYes they do have jobs. Quit being so judgmental
DeleteYes they do have jobs. Quit being so judgmental
DeleteNOT, don't you watch the news, Lawson is in Texas helping with the hurricane victims as are a few others, if you can't say something nice don't watch the show. 🤐
Deletedon't watch the show if you can't say something nice. A few of them are helping with hurricane victims.🤐
Deletekeep your mouth shut if you can't say something nice, a couple of them are helping with hurricane laura
DeleteThey all work in the family tree business.
DeleteMaybe you should watch the episodes where they talk about their jobs and training.
Delete“Helping with Hurricane Laura” is a job? Really? Who is your employer? Are there retirement benefits?
DeleteIt’s odd that Gil’s tree cutting business has no internet presence, no reviews, no website. And yet it supports a family of 12+, and employs so many sons.
DeleteNot sure where everyone learned Lawson and maybe other Bates are helping victims of Laura? I do think what people are asking is: what do these young men do for daily work? Is it working the tree business; is it the reality show; is it music; is it piloting??? Honest questions without any factual answers! Volunteering is awesome; but doesn’t pay the bills!!!
Delete@4:51 What is a “sedentary “ job?
DeleteAs a mother of boys I understand that awful feeling of another trip to the hospital!! Never a full moment with boys.
ReplyDeleteI meant to say never a full moment with boys. Sorry for my fat finger mistake.
DeleteMy smart phone changes my word ever time!!!! Dull moment !! !! Here goes sending it again.
DeleteTry again 12:30 :). Never a “dull “ moment as a mom of boys!
Deleteoh my gosh. prayers coming for trace and warden, congratulations to Tori and Bobbie and big brother.....God bless u all and can not wait to see you tonight......much love from Michigan
ReplyDeletePraying for a complete and speedy recovery. Been a fan since I first saw your family guest starring on the Duggars show. God Bless all of you. Thanks for the blessing's.
ReplyDeleteA head on collision is a horrific traffic accident. Very happy Trace and Warden are fine, but that headline was not ok.
ReplyDeleteGlad they are OK. Often such a game related hit is still a brain injury event. Err on the side of caution.
ReplyDeleteGod's watching!
ReplyDeleteI don’t think the injury really warranted a trip to the hospital. It didn’t need stitches. I would be more concerned that Trace would be exposed to the coronavirus in the crowded ER. But, of course, I wasn’t there and didn’t see Trace. That’s why it’s good it’s the decision of the parents and not the viewing audience. 😏 I feel, sometimes, I get too nervous about the virus. I’m trying to put it in a better perspective. I don’t want to let that dictate my life.
ReplyDeleteHaving Addee take care of Kade is not keeping them from exposure since she lives with her parents. They might as well have had Tori and Bobby over.
ReplyDeletePraying for you guys! I know that head-on with the boys heads was scaredy!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations
ReplyDeleteWhen can I see season 7 . I've been left hanging !!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the new bundles of joy.and I've been there with 2 of my kids in the hospital before at the same time it no fun I love your show please keep it going
ReplyDeleteA sedentary job is a job that does not involve physical labor; like office jobs/ customer service answering phones; on in which you sit a lot at a desk or a counter.
