Just wanted to wish John a happy 31 st birthday today hope you had a wonderful day with your family may god bless you and keep you safe for many more years to come
I can totally see this scenario happening in real life. 40-41 year old Alyssa goes to an ice cream shop with her 10 month old grandbaby, her 4 year old son who is her 6th child, and she is also 5 months pregnant with her 7th. So she walks into the ice cream shop and a couple of people comment of how cute her kids are. She says thanks but this baby is my grandchild but the 4 year old is mine. Everybody appears shocked and one guy even drops his ice cream on the floor in shock.
HAHAHA, John's picture with his little daughters gave me a chuckle. It's what I call a "Dad" picture. Two girls sitting/standing up but the baby is almost upside down. So cute and natural! Happy Birthday, John.
I'm the OP. I was thinking that dads are more "natural" in their pictures than moms. Speaking for myself, as a mom, I fussed over taking a picture of my kids and me. I would make sure all outfits and hairstyles were presentable. Everyone was instructed to "look at the camera and smile". Babies were held in position to get the best photo possible. Retakes were common. Looking back, I realize I needed to take more "natural" pictures like my husband (and John). Like I said, I think John and his daughters' picture is darling. I do keep up with John and Alyssa's family because we also live in Florida and we share many of their experiences.
John wasn't taking the picture, it was probably Alyssa. I think it shows the unpredictability of kids, no matter who is taking the picture. Sometimes you can get through a whole photo shoot and only have imperfect pictures to choose from!

ReplyDeleteHe could be a grandpa in 15 years, hard to believe!
ReplyDeleteAlyssa could be a grandma in her thirties-- just a bit older than John is now!

DeleteThat's not exactly something to brag about!

ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, John.
Leaning over a little? Not even halfway to upside down.
DeleteTo 10:09AM: My goodness; we really love to "pick" at each other on this site, don't we? I'm the OP and I think it's a darling picture.
Delete6:18, I think it's darling too, but I scrolled up to see an upside down baby, and that's not what she was doing.
DeleteI think the OP is perpetrating the stereotype that dads cannot hold a baby properly. Not sure if that's true.
