DeleteI wish them all the best in breaking out from their strict faith. I hope we will see the day when a girl of the Duggar / Bates family will also „be allowed“ to get involved with someone outside from their community.

DeleteOh you want Christians to marry non Christians? Seems like a recipe for a bad marriage, you usually want to be in alignment on that no matter what you believe within a marriage. Or want them to no longer follow the Christian faith? Seems a bit christianphobic They definitely married outside their Basic life principle upbringing though.

DeleteThere are countless “communities “ within Christianity, even within some religions. The Baptist church has many independent offshoots from the mainline denomination. IBLP is just one.
DeleteTruthie- I don't think the OP was referring to just any Christian religion. I doubt the Bates would marry outside their own fundamentalist Baptist community.

ReplyDeleteI hope that they get engaged this year! I also hope that Nathan and Esther get engaged as well as Katie and Travis! It’s still early enough in the year that if they all got engaged soon there could be 3 weddings this year. And we know there will be at least 4 babies added to the family. Such exciting times for this family!
ReplyDeleteKatie and Travis are still very young. Travis has not finished college yet and maybe Katie has not either. Give them time. Travis will need a job to support a wife and instant family they all acquire. Why do people want these very young people to get married so early?

DeleteTravis and Katie are both twenty. That’s plenty old enough to be getting married. He bought a house, so I’m hoping they get engaged soon and married by the end of the year.

DeleteI admire people who show love and compassion to all. Their religious affiliation, or lack of one, makes no difference to me in the least.
DeleteI'm not sure why, but this is the first Bates relationship that doesn't seem right to me.... like I said...to me....just something about her, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
ReplyDeleteI am truly praying that Michaela will get pregnant very soon. She is so loving and would be an amazing mom. Brandon also has an obvious love for children and he would make a great father.
ReplyDeleteI have often worried about Michaela with every pregnancy announcement. No way to understand why ...they want it so bad. God doesn't let us in on his plans.they r both in my prayers.
