Do women really do that? I never did. Seems ridiculous to blame my husband for something that was both of our ideas.

DeleteI have been in labour in hospital hearing women in labour telling and blaming their husbands. More than once.
DeleteIf a woman wants to blame somone or complain about ANYTHING when in the throes of labor and childbirth, I will give her that!
DeleteWhen you are laying there in that much pain and agony, yes you both made that decision but only one of you have to deal with the pain! I absolutely hollered at my husband!

Delete8:36, I never did. I thought that was dumb. Having a baby was just as much on me as it was him. He works hard to support our family and has for 20 years, and he doesn't yell at me about it, even though it was the decision of both of us that I would be a SAHM. It's our division of labor, so to speak. 😄
DeleteI never blamed my husband for pain in child birth. I get it’s supposed to be a joke. Kind of an outdated one and honestly not very funny. If you’re blaming your husband either stop having babies or get the epidural.

DeleteI think some of these commenters are taking it entirely too seriously. 6:06- Woman up? I bet you'd be a delight in the delivery room with a birthing friend or relative.
DeleteRemember a long time ago when people didn't take things so personal and were able to laugh at a light hearted joke. . . . . I miss those times!!
Delete8:07, I've had five kids. I never even thought about blaming my husband while in labor. "Woman up" means you just get through it without feeling like you have to blame someone. People are always trying to place blame on other people instead of having some maturity and responsibility. That is what I meant. And of course I would never say that to someone in the middle of labor. That would be just as dumb as blaming my husband.
