Stewarts Expecting Baby #2

Carlin and Evan Stewart just made a big announcement. They are expecting their second child! The doting parents of Layla Stewart, who turns two in January, unveiled the news today. You can read all the details on the UPtv website. They haven't yet told fans the exact due date, just that the baby is set to arrive in 2022. This reveal comes six days after Erin and Chad Paine shared that Erin is pregnant with their fifth little one.

Bates #5 Turns 28

Happy 28th birthday to Nathan Bates! His full name is Kenneth Nathaniel Bates, which is fun fact that some of you might not know. He and Esther Keyes are looking forward to their wedding on October 22nd and just had a beautiful wedding shower at the Bates' church this Friday. They also picked out their wedding bands. Nathan recently returned from Haiti with MEDIC Corps and is now responding to Hurricane Ida in Louisiana.

Miracle Baby Paine on the Way

Erin and Chad Paine are expecting something that was completely unexpected. Erin is due with Baby #5 in January 2022! Back in February, the mom of four told fans about the surgeries she had had to remove one ovary and most of the second. At that point, she and Chad thought it would not be possible to become pregnant again. 

For that reason, we know you will be rejoining along with Erin and Chad at the news of this little one. The happy couple just uploaded a YouTube video sharing their story (link below).

MEDIC Corps on CBS News

Our readers have been asking for updates from the MEDIC Corps team, which includes Lawson and Nathan, that is currently in Haiti. Members from their crew were recently spotted in a video from CBS News, alongside the U.S. Coast Guard and workers from other organizations (link to Facebook video below). Their gray MEDIC Corps shirts have red and white lettering.

MEDIC Corps has been helping transport patients to medical care, as well as distributing supplies to victims of the 7.2-magnitude earthquake. In case you missed it, Nathan also spoke briefly during an NPR segment.

We're throwing it back almost four years with this lighthearted video. While baking with Carson and her youngest sisters, Erin reveals two Bates family members who are guilty of double dipping. One is a young child, and the other is very much an adult. Any guesses?

3 Bates in Haiti

Three of the Bates sons--Lawson, Nathan, and Trace--are currently in Haiti doing relief work, on the heels of a 7.2-magnitude earthquake. They are working as part of a team, which also includes John-David Duggar, from the organization MEDIC Corps. The death toll in Haiti is already up over 1,200, and a tropical depression is expected to cause further destruction in the next 24 hours. 

We know that these guys would appreciate prayer as they work to help the Haitian people.

Nathan's Wedding Date

 

Nathan Bates proposes to Esther Keyes

Last month, Katie Bates and Travis Clark made their wedding date public. They will tie the knot on December 3rd. Nathan Bates and Esther Keyes decided to follow suit and also announce the day that they will become husband and wife. Their ceremony and reception will take place on October 22nd.

Girls' Trip to Arizona

Kelly Bates recently used airline points to take a girls' trip with her three youngest daughters. Addallee (15), Ellie (14), and Callie (12) will soon be the only three out of 10 Bates daughters who are not yet married, once Katie Bates ties the knot on December 3rd. Gil and Kelly are all about spending quality time with their children, and with two weddings coming up that are requiring attention from Mama Bates, it is sweet to see her take the time to make memories with her younger girls.

Season 11?

We know you have been looking forward to the premiere of Bringing Up Bates season 11 since new episodes wrapped up in June. There is nothing to share on that front, but we will let you know as soon as the season start date is announced. Until then, season 10 will be available for weekly streaming on UP Faith and Family, beginning next Friday (August 20th).

Josie’s ER Visit

This week, Josie Balka ended up in the ER in the middle of the night. What began as a headache and nausea quickly worsened and resulted in her having difficulty communicating. After running tests and receiving fluids and medicine, Josie was feeling a lot better and was able to return home to her babies. She and Kelton say that the cause of the symptoms was likely food poisoning and dehydration. We know that the Bates and Balkas would appreciate prayer for Josie as she heals.

'The Way I See You' Music Video

The full music video for Lawson Bates' newest single, "The Way I See You," was just released. You may not be surprised to hear that Lawson's co-star in the video storyline is his girlfriend, Tiffany Espensen. The two have been dating for about one year. The acting role is fitting for Tiffany, who has quite a bit of experience in Hollywood. (You can read more about that in our first post about Tiffany.) 

The couple filmed the music video at the famous Loveless Cafe in Nashville, Tennessee. You can watch it on the UPtv website.

Engagement Memories with Chad and Erin

Erin and Chad Paine are approaching eight years of marriage in November. In this throwback video, they relive their engagement day with a visit to Whitestone Inn in Kingston, Tennessee. Chad proposed there on August 5th, 2013, which means that the couple's engagement anniversary is just four days away.
