Happy Easter 2022

Gil and Kelly Bates, Resurrection Sunday 2022

We hope all our readers across the world had a lovely Easter celebrating the risen Savior, who came to Earth to live a sinless life and sacrifice Himself on the cross in order to make us blameless before God. Making the decision to follow Christ means community with God here on Earth and eternal life with God in heaven after death. Below is a link to Gil's Resurrection Sunday sermon.

    1. I think it's from the Bates Sisters Boutique. It looks familiar.

  2. Why can't these people just say "Happy Easter" like everyone else? There is nothing ungodly about this phrase.

    1. You mean like how the blog heading literally says Happy Easter?

    2. They're referring to how Gil calls it Resurrection Sunday and he's not the only one who does that. I don't understand it either. Maybe they don't like the focus on bunnies and baskets and are trying to get everyone to think about something else.

    3. I'm Christian and say Happy Resurrection Day bc it keeps the focus on Jesus sacrifice to pay OUR sin debt with His own sinless life!🥰 THANK YOU JESUS I'M ETERNALLY GRATEFUL!!

    4. Well, it IS a celebration of Jesus' resurrection. The word Easter is believed to come from the name of a pagan goddess of spring. So yeah, I can see why.

    5. If you are Christian and calling this sacred day of rememberance Easter look up the origins of that word, I did bc it's not scriptural! It's attached to a PAGAN goddess! I say happy RESURRECTION DAY bc that's exactly what it is! A celebration of Jesus rising from the grave ALIVE!! VICTORY OVER SIN and DEATH!🙌😍

    6. 8:51 There are many Easter-time traditions with roots that can be traced to non-Christian and even pagan or non-religious celebrations. Maybe they call it Resurrection Sunday because they don't want to have an association with other Easter frivolities.

    7. This is ridiculous. This world and it's people existed before the time of Christ and yes, there were pagans, etc. on the earth. Not calling Easter, "Easter", because of pagan roots is splitting hairs. Everyone knows that Easter refers to the resurrection of Jesus.....not pagan rituals or beliefs. Why, then do these people have Christmas trees in their church? Aren't those tied to pagan beliefs too? Why not call it a "Jesus Birthday Tree"? Legalistic, silly non-rules, IMO.

    9. 4:24, it's not legalistic to prefer to say one thing that honors God over something that does not. It's a personal choice.

  3. Did anyone else see Josie's spandex Easter dress? Youza....I could not believe how tight that dresswas. What happened to "modern modesty" dressing? I could not wear a dress that tight...just not right especially for church. I am not of this belief system and I was surprised by her.

    1. Josie has definitely pushed the limits on propriety at times. She has a gorgeous figure though. She is very beautiful.

    2. There was nothing wrong with what Josie wore! She looked great. Stop offering fashion advice and stick to making your husband’s dinner. That seems more your speed.
