Welcome Baby Cambree!

Tori and Bobby Smith welcomed their fourth child this week. Cambree Layne Smith was born August 2nd, 2022. She weighed 5 lbs 2 oz, which makes her the lightest of Tori's babies thus far. Kade (November 2018) weighed 6 lbs 1 oz. Kolter (March 2020) weighed 6 lbs 6 oz. And Charlotte Raine (June 2021) weighed 5 lbs 11 oz. Until Kade's birthday on November 9th, Tori and Bobby will have four children under the age of four.

    3. We all miss a clean awesome show. I think it got to expensive for the network to continue. Think how much they were paying all the adults.

  3. How do these millennials came up with such outlandish names?

    1. I think it’s beautiful

    2. I like all the names. Original, and as unique as each child. Not outlandish… come on.

    3. I was wondering the exact same thing!

    4. Their kids have beautiful names.

    5. To the people making ignorant comments about the babies name, I'm just curious, if you were sitting with a family member or a coworker and you didn't approve of the name they chose for THEIR baby, not yours but THEIR baby, would you say something rude about the name? I'm going to guess you wouldn't. Just because your online doesn't mean you don't need to use manners. That's assuming you were raised with any.

      Delete
    6. Yes because your generation chose amazing names like Walter, Gladys, etc y’all were giving birth to senior citizens based off those names

    7. I'm just curious too. How is implying that someone was not raised with manners also not being rude? Is that something you would say to the person if you were sitting with them? Comments like that always puzzle me. Chastise the poster about manners and then ZING, do the very same thing they accuse the other person of doing.

      In other news,

I agree with you 5:02. Baby name books, if they still exist, sure aren't what they used to be. Every time I hear a name like this, I picture the child years later trying to find their name on a key ring in a souvenir shop. I also feel sorry for the teachers who have to try to keep the name spellings straight for 30 students all with "creative" names. Plus for the rest of their lives, the child will have to spell their first name (slowly) whenever asked over the phone or whenever paperwork needs to be filled out. You can't expect to say "Cambree" and have people know automatically how to spell that. Even the middle name - who would think there's a "y" lurking in the middle of it. "That's C-a-m-b-r-e-e, and Layne, like the country road, but with a y..." I can hear right now what that child will be going through, because I have to do that all the time myself, due to marriage!

    8. 12:06, Layne is the feminine Lane. As a teacher I had a Hailey, Hailee and Haleigh in the same class. I’d rather have a kid with a unique name than a bunch of the same. It just makes life easier.

    9. @4:36 No, you're a generation or two off. Those were our parents' or grandparents' names. Our generation was named Susan, Karen, Deborah, Patricia, Robert, William, David, and James. We named our kids Michael, Joshua, Christopher, Zachary, Justin, Jessica, Jennifer, Heather, Rebecca, and Tiffany. Those are the kids (now grown) who are choosing the unusual and unheard of names for babies these days. Although I know someone who just named their baby Hazel, so we're also right back, full circle, to those much earlier generation names.

    10. @4:36- It seems those old fashioned names are making a return-Archie, Henry, Rose, Vienna, Viviane Evelyn…between names I see in the news and students in my school; these old time names are becoming popular again!

    11. Yes, my grandchildren all have "tradional/old-fashioned names: Lucy, Henry, William.

    12. There’s nothing wrong with their kids names. It may not be our preferences but God already has each baby’s name chosen, it’s His choice. Besides, if you’re a fan of the Bates, you’d know Layne is Tori’s middle name. Congratulations to them!

  6. Congratulations Tori and Bobby on the birth of Cambree Layne. Wonder what her name means? Layne is Tori's middle name,so it's sweet she now has her mom's middle name too. Nice picture of Kolter and Charlotte. They have grown so much.☺️ I don't do social media like Facebook and Instagram,so I don't get to see pictures of the kids much and Tori and Bobby don't have and do YouTube and vlogs. I respect them trying to raise their family privately with no cameras around (even as Bringing Up Bates came to an end, they were not involved much in filming the show).

  11. Gotta be honest- it exhausts me just to think about having 4 kids, let alone 4 under 4. I had two 18 months apart and that was all I wanted to or could handle!

    1. I agree! I hope they wait a bit they have more so mommy can rest her body. Baby’s name is cute.

  12. Congratulations. However, 4 babies in less than 4 years seems pretty overwhelming to me. I hope she takes a break from having babies and gives her body time to "catch up".

  13. It concerns me that their newborn was so small when she was born. Usually, the more babies a mom has, the bigger each one gets.
We had 3 children in 4 years and it was exhausting. It was 6 years before I got a decent night's sleep! It was very expensive too- 2 kids in diapers at the same time, car insurance for 3 teenage drivers, 3 in college at the same time, 3 weddings in 5 years. Thankfully, they are all healthy, married, working, and raising their children-my grandchildren. LOTS of work, worry, and expense but definitely worth it!

  17. I LOVE her name. I’m totally glad that some of the people making comments on here don’t get to pick it. Can’t please all the people all the time but in this family’s case you can’t please some people any of the time so if parents are pleased, I’m pleased for them

  24. Adorable children and happy parents. I’d love to know why Tori studied for a degree in education and has no intention of using it? I don’t mean it in a snarky manner; just curious.

    1. 1. She can use it if she homeschools her children. 2. She can use it if she decides to teach when her kids are older. 3. She can use it if something happens to Bobby and she needs to find a job.

      Delete
    2. 1. You do not require a degree to homeschool. 2. Since she has not formally taught students; returning after years of being a SAHM will require lots of professional development and some type of experience (para educator/subbing) 3. It would be very sad to need your spouse to die before you utilize your degree

      Delete
    3. People don’t need to be employed in the field to “use their education” - learning is wonderful and lessons can be taken and applied many places outside of work.

      Delete
    4. 5:12, I am aware that you don't need a degree to homeschool - but she CAN use her degree while homeschooling, which is what the original comment asked about. Secondly, she will still have that educational background even if she does do subbing or whatever. Thirdly, my list was not a comprehensive list, but certainly if she HAD to support her kids she could. What is the point of attacking my list?
