Katie and Travis Clark just released a YouTube video where they discuss assumptions that fans have about them (link below). Did they get pregnant earlier than they wanted to? How many kids do they want? Do they use birth control?

Love the name
ReplyDeleteThis was an interesting video.
ReplyDeleteWhat business is this of anyone’s and why would they answer these questions!
ReplyDeleteI know, I thought the same thing. Is Nothing is private anymore?
DeleteExactly. They should just ignore the nosey questions and get on with their lives.
DeleteSo refreshing to hear they actually used bc!
ReplyDeleteIt’s more refreshing to me to not know this very personal information about them.
DeleteI think it would be more refreshing to not know that kind of personal information about other people.
DeleteWhat's wrong with not using it?
DeleteI was actually disappointed to hear they use artificial birth control. I believe that it is harmful (sinful, in fact). Not that all married couples MUST have 20+ kids. Natural Family Planning is a healthy, moral method of spacing children when needed.
DeletePractically the whole world uses birth control. In my opinion it was refreshing to see the Bates family not use it.
DeleteWhy?
Delete@4:28 Sinful to use birth control? What religion would say that? What about women who could die in childbirth, yet purposely don't use birth control and get pregnant against doctor's orders? Wouldn't they be sinning by willfully doing something that could cause their own demise?
DeleteBecause if shows they made their OWN decisions
Delete@4:28 I assume you also oppose any forms of medical intervention or medication that doesn't fall under your "natural" umbrella, including that which prevents miscarriage or treatments for cancer.
Delete@4:28 If you believe that artificial birth control is sinful, then don't you use it (emphasis on "you.") But please don't impose your personal standards on the rest of the world, or judge others negatively for being different than you, or be "disappointed" in them. Taking care of a woman's health is not sinful or immoral. In fact, quite the opposite, because God expects us to take care of our bodies/our temples. "Artificial" birth control has helped women who should not bear children due to health issues, and is not used only for pregnancy prevention. There is a long list of medical conditions for which hormonal "birth control" is prescribed. NFP doesn't work for everyone, either. One glitch and you're expecting again, whether you wanted to be or not. I worry about the mental health of the women who are in the "not" category, and fear for the safety of the unwanted children later.
DeleteWhere did you hear that info about it being sinful 4:28? What MAN who wants to control women's bodies and keep them pregnant and subservient (out of fear) told you that and made you believe it?
DeleteDo Mr. & Mrs. Bates believe in using artificial birth control?
ReplyDeleteNo. They have 19 chidren as a result.
DeleteHi Lily and Ellie, any chance you will post about Kelly Jo's mom passing away last week? She passed away last Tuesday (November 8) from contracting RSV and because she has not been well since she had COVID-19 over a year ago,she succumbed to the virus.ðŸ˜
ReplyDeleteHow sad!
DeleteJust watched Alyssa and Katie on you tube asking and answering personal questions about childbirth and life, marriage etc. In my opinion it was inappropriate. I won’t be watching either of their you tube segments any more. I’m so disappointed in how far these two have lowered their standards as to what is appropriate for publication. I know many will probably disagree.
ReplyDeleteI agree. I con't imagine why anyone feels the need to answer questions from nosey strangers. Are they doing it for money?
DeleteWhy there’s no more updates
ReplyDeleteWhere’s the new updates??? Haven’t seen anything on these blogs in a month.
ReplyDeleteI was curious, too!
DeleteTravis and Katie are my favorite but all the Bates are amazing
ReplyDeleteI miss updates on the family…
