It has been a bittersweet Christmas for the Bates family, as they said goodbye to Erin and Chad Paine and their five kids, who are following God's call to start a new life in Florida. After months of planning and waiting, the Paines are all packed up and on their way.

Webster Baby #5 Gender Reveal

Today was a big day for the Webster clan. They found out the gender of Baby #5 and announced it to the world! After four girls, Alyssa and John have only ever had girl names picked out, so you can imagine their surprise when they found out that it's a BOY! You can watch the family reveal the news in their most recent YouTube video.

Baby Clark's Name

Katie and Travis Clark announced the name of their baby girl! She is due March 4th, and her name will be Hailey James Clark. James is Travis' middle name and is the name of other Clark family members. The expectant parents posted a YouTube video sharing the name and showing a road trip to Tennessee in their new car.

Did you see our post yesterday? Katie (Bates) Clark is pregnant! She and Travis just posted a YouTube video that shows the moments when Katie found out and then told Travis, as well as the reveals for both sets of grandparents (link below). Baby Clark is due late February/early March 2023.

News of a new Bates relationship is likely just around the corner. 20-year-old Jackson Bates teased on his social media that he has a special lady in his life. Who do you think she is?

Big Plans for the Stewarts' Old Place

You've likely heard that Carlin and Evan Stewart just moved into their new place. They moved out of a rental and into their first purchased home. Their rental is owned by some friends, and it will soon be inhabited by another Bates couple...Trace and Lydia. Now that the Stewarts have vacated, Trace will use his construction skills to do some renovations (link to their video is below). Lydia plans to move in soon and will be joined by Trace after their October 1st wedding.

Baby Girl Bates

As most of you know, Nathan and Esther Bates are expecting a baby in October. They just announced the gender… It’s a girl, and her name will be Kenna Joy Bates. The link to the gender reveal video will be posted soon. 

Lawson and Tiffany's Honeymoon

Lawson and Tiffany became Mr. and Mrs. Bates one month ago. They took off on an international honeymoon to an undisclosed location, followed by a cross-country road trip from San Diego to their new home in Nashville, Tennessee. They newlyweds are posting never-before-seen honeymoon footage to YouTube today. Those of you who guessed that they went to Greece were correct! You can tune in to their video (link below) starting at 12pm CT/1pm ET.

Update on Carlin

As many of you know, Carlin Stewart has been having some serious health struggles, which are most likely seizures, that her doctor is trying to get to the bottom of. He put her on a seizure medicine to suppress her episodes and will take her off the medicine and do an EEG next week. She can trace the episodes back to Zade's delivery at the end of March. What she doesn't know yet is why they started so suddenly or what is causing them. 

On a happier note, Carlin and Evan are working on their house. Below is a link to a YouTube video showing their progress.

Wedding in 128 Days

In just over four months, Trace Bates will become the fourth Bates son to wed. He and Lydia Romeike will tie the knot on October 1st, 2022, in Jefferson City, about one hour from the Bates' hometown of Rocky Top, Tennessee. The wedding will take place four days before Josie and Kelton's fourth anniversary, which is fitting because Josie is responsible for setting Trace up with Lydia. You can view the couple's wedding website and registry on The Knot. After this event, Gil and Kelly will be able to say that their 11 oldest children are married.

Far, Far Away

Lawson Bates and Tiffany Espensen became Mr. and Mrs. Bates yesterday afternoon in San Diego, California. They celebrated with family and friends on a boat! Wedding photos and details have not yet been released to the public, but we will let you know when they are. Until then, where do you think Lawson and Tiffany are headed on their honeymoon? The trip was planned by Lawson, who surprised Tiffany with the destination about a week before the wedding.

2 More Bates Babies

In celebration of Mother's Day, not one, but TWO Bates couples announced pregnancies. Nathan and Esther Bates are due with their first child in October, which is the month of their first anniversary. Tori and Bobby Smith are expecting their fourth baby in August. They are having another girl, which will bring their count up to two boys and two girls. The daughters will be 14 months apart.

How Trace and Lydia Met

For those who haven't heard, Trace Bates is engaged to Lydia Romeike. Now that the Bates' show is off the air, viewers won't have the pleasure of meeting Lydia on TV, so she and Trace filmed a YouTube video to share how they became acquainted (link below). The pair was set up by Josie, and they only met last year.

4 Grandchildren Born in March

March used to be one of only two months in which there were no Bates birthdays. Now, with the addition of grandchildren and in-laws, there are five birthdays in March. The first is Travis on the 8th. In 2018, Zoey Webster arrived March 28th, followed by Everly Paine on March 30th. Kolter Smith was born March 25, 2020, and Zade Stewart arrived four days ago (March 27th). 

Fun fact: June is the other month that used to have no Bates birthdays. Now, June has four grandchildren birthdays (Kaci Bates, Hazel Balka, Charlotte Smith, and Jadon Bates).

Baby Finley is Here!

Update: Finley has arrived! She weighed 5 lbs 4 oz.

Erin and Chad Paine will soon welcome their fifth child! They are at the hospital awaiting the arrival of Finley Marie Paine. When you think of it, be sure to remember Erin and Finley in your prayers.
