Alyssa's Trip to SC...and John at Home

"Sunday--the day we need Alyssa the most. I do not know how to get these kids ready."

-John Webster

While Alyssa Webster and Rhett Webster took a recent trip to South Carolina to visit Alyssa's grandparents, John Webster held down the fort at home. Each of them documented the time and combined the footage to create a YouTube video. How do you think it went? After you watch the video, come back here and post a comment.

  1. He needs to learn to care for his kids better.

  2. It looks like a great trip. I also love the mother and son time. And grandparents are a blessing 🙌 ❤️ 💖

  3. He doesn't know how to make a ponytail and help a small child into a dress? I dont' understand.

    1. It’s called content. The “helpless” Dad scenario for their channel.

    2. I thought the whole thing was rather silly and pointless. Of course he can help the kids dress and do their hair. He was just playing to the camera.

  4. Maybe there should be less emphasis on how the kids look, and more on the real reasons for attending church. Then getting them ready would be a snap! The older 3 can certainly dress themselves and comb their own hair by now.

  5. John may have said he didn’t know how to get the girls ready, but he ended up doing a great job and they looked beautiful. They also seemed to have fun with their Dad during Alyssa’s trip. It’s good that she got to go see her grandparents and clean their house and Mama Jane sure enjoyed spending time with little Rhett. Not that she doesn’t love the girls just as much and all her grandchildren, but the one on one time was nice to see.

  6. I hope these children are under child protection laws for working. These children deserve to be paid for providing their parents lifestyle.

    1. I would like to know why you think the children are supporting the parents?

    2. 3:09. Every single YouTube content is about the kids. Those kids are their bread and butter and deserve to be financially compensated.

    3. Really!?! Every single one of these YouTube “Bates kids” is making their living off of showcasing their children.

    4. 3:09 There's currently a lot of controversy over family vlog channels, primarily because children cannot give consent for filming and the parents can make a lot of money by including them. There are no regulations that protect kids financially in these circumstances. In many ways, I think it's exploitation by the parents for financial gain and a lack of good judgment. Children deserve their privacy and once they're put out on social media or YouTube, it's compromised.

  7. Did John think it would be a walk in the park? Doesn't he work? It's expected when you have that amount of kids close together. Women do it all the time work and raise a family. Also why she call her Grandma Jane sometimes and Jane not just Grandma? Is this a step Grandparent?

  8. I'm glad Alyssa had a get away. But John is such a whiner. What makes him think getting kids ready to go somewhere is such a big deal. He should help out more instead of leaving that task to Alyssa.

  9. Tells me how much fathers are involved in hands-on child care in this family.

  10. Loved this video! What a wonderful Daddy to take time off work to take it all on himself to support Alyssa in going to stay with her grandparents. He did a phenomenal job. I'd like to see any of the negative commentors try to do what he just did alone. His kids and Alyssa are very blessed to have him. A real man!

  12. So John also has HMS (helpless male syndrome) with his children. Who knew? lol
