Last week was a busy one for the Bates family! It started off with the arrival of Harvey Gray Clark on September 29th. Harvey had oxygen issues soon after birth and had to spend some time in the NICU, but he is now home and doing well. The links to his birth story are below.
Harvey is Gil and Kelly Bates' 31st grandchild. Just five days after he was born, the parents of 19 welcomed their 32nd grandchild. Graham Alan Bates is the second child of Nathan and Esther Bates. He arrived on October 4th and weighed 6 lbs 15 oz. Graham shares a middle name with cousin Rhett Alan Webster, who was born in March 2023.
To add to the excitement, a number of Bates, who are close friends of the Duggars, attended the wedding of Jason and Maddie Duggar on October 3rd. The wedding took place in East Tennessee.

Gil and Kelly have incredible energy! It seems like they go from weddings to births to engagements to visiting Gil’s parents all the while homeschooling, pastoring and normal life without missing a beat!!!
ReplyDeleteGraham?!
ReplyDeleteGraham is a beautiful old Scottish name. I love it!
DeleteFair warning. Please let's not rip on Graham's name like people did to Harvey's name. They're good solid boyish names.
DeleteGraham is a great name
DeleteQuite possibly his name was inspired by the late evangelist Billy Graham. :)
DeleteI love the name Graham!! Harvey??? not so much!
DeleteWhy doesn't one of the many networks pick up the Bringing up Bates Show? It was so much better then the Dugger Show! I miss the family and seeing all the Weddings and Births!! PLEASE bring this great family back to tv!!
ReplyDeleteThey all have social media and sone have YouTube content which is even better than a tv show.
DeleteCongratulations! Love his name! We were going to have Graham Thomas if we had a boy! We were gifted with 3 beautiful daughtersđź’—
ReplyDeleteI really miss seeing your family on TV
ReplyDeleteDid you all get damage from hurricane helanane?
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the new little Graham Cracker!
ReplyDeleteLove and miss yall so much!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Nathan and Esther on the birth of Graham Alan! Glad he came out well into the world without any complications like his cousin Harvey Clark. Not surprised some of the Bates went to Jason and Maddie's wedding. Saw some BTS photos of Bates taking pictures with Duggar family members and The Stew Crew put a video out yesterday about Harvey's birth and Jessa and Ben Seewald and their 5 kids visit and going to the zoo with all 7 kids.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Nate and Esther and big sister Kenna! Saw a photo of Graham on Instagram. So cute!
ReplyDeleteSo Graham was born without any drama (No NICU pictures or birth story). Amazing.
ReplyDeleteYes! What a lovely enterance♥️
DeleteI used to watch their show on Uptv . Really do miss seeing them grow up and make new lives for themselves.
ReplyDeleteI refuse to listen to anyone's "birth story." People holler if they think their HIPAA privacy rights are tread upon ("They announced my last name at the pharmacy window!"), yet they'll post details of something very personal and medical for the world to know. Not buying into it.
ReplyDeleteWhen did the Bates' ever complain about HIPAA?
Delete6:17 didn't say they did, 5:35. Just pointed out the irony.
DeleteNow that all the babies have arrived, I'm expecting anohter round of pregnancy announcements.
ReplyDeleteActually Lawson and Tiffany hinted that a 33rd grandchild might be born this year. So I don't think all have arrived. Prayers to any and all expectant mothers!
DeleteGod has blessed you I like your I love you day's and date's you l miss seeing you on tv hope all is well God bless you and your family and the Duggers as well
ReplyDeleteOMG! The Second baby shares the same Birthday as me!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to both sets of parents and extended family. So glad that baby Harvey is doing better. Prayers for all.
ReplyDeleteCongrats
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely name! Graham!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Nathan and Esther!
