Katie and Travis Clark moved from New Jersey to the Knoxville area last March, and they have been living in an apartment since they arrived. With help from their real estate agent, Zach Bates, they have officially purchased what they call their dream home. You can see some quick glimpses of the house in their latest YouTube video.

That's nice. Hope they enjoy it. Guess Zach had to get an actual job instead of doing on-line cooking shows.
ReplyDeleteZach's been a real estate agent for awhile. Before the cooking show actually
DeleteYou are literally the most disrespectful human I’ve heard of! He has a very good job this isn’t his 1st “real” job -in you words. He works in law enforcement too! His cooking channel is a total different topic!
DeleteWorkED in LE, past tense. Isn't he the one who gave that up to be home to be a "real" dad or something?
DeleteAt 8:56 Zach quit working in law enforcement a long time ago. Where have you been living under a rock? lol
DeleteSo when did Zach become a real estate agent? Anyone know? He announced he'd quit his job at the Sheriff's Office to be a "first class" dad and run his wife's on-line business. No mention of being a real estate agent. I'm always confused by these sudden new jobs that were never mentioned previously.
DeleteWhy do you feel the need to come here and be disrespectful? Especially since you’re incorrect. Zach was in public service for years. He currently holds his real estate license, and given the work that he did to help Travis and Katie find a home, it’s very obvious that he actually does know what he’s doing. His YouTube channel is amazing. The fact that you even came here to comment speaks to your use of social media. I’m sure you have Youtubers that you love. Go watch them. Many us love the Bates family and will continue to watch them as well. Consider putting some kindness out into the world; that’s something worthwhile that will last
DeleteAnon 11:23. I don't think anyone is being disrespectful given the public statements Zach made regarding quitting his job as a LEO and running his wife's business. Now he seems to be a real estate agent. That was never mentioned in his previous posts, so people should ask questions.
Delete@11:23 Do the Bates put kindness out into the world for others? ALL others?? Maybe the rest of us have seen some things that you missed...
DeleteI don't care how proud you are with your house. You should never put a video of it online. May as well put a sign in the front yard saying, "Everybody come in." Have the Clarks ever heard of safety?
ReplyDeleteI don't think they're in any sort of danger. They have a small following of fans who are not likely to pay them a visit.
Delete@3:43 It's not "fans" you have to worry about when you show where your doors and windows are, what the locks look like, show the lack of a security system control pad on your wall, show what cars you drive, etc. etc. These days, criminals case houses from the comfort of their computers.
DeleteIt's also public record.
Delete@10:07 The inside of your house is not public record. Sometimes if it's been listed for sale recently, you can still find pictures of the inside, but it's either empty or has the last owners' belongings. Filming it yourself after you buy it and putting it on social media is a whole other decision though.
DeleteThings have changed, I guess. They said the house in NJ was their dream house.
ReplyDeleteYeah, but now they have two kids and are in a different stage.
DeleteYep, that's how life goes. Things change.
DeleteThe financial moves of these two young people just don't add up. Where are they getting the money to do these things?
ReplyDeleteWho knows how they pay for this. I've never understood what ANY of them actually do to earn a living. It's all rather vague and then one of them will say they have some sort of job that was never mentioned in the past. However, I do have the impression that Travis' family is rather well off.
DeleteCongrats Clark family for finding your home. So very glad that Zach could help you guys out. You had a realtor that truly had your back and that you could also believe. Enjoy your new home.
ReplyDeleteIt seems if Katie doesn't get her way, she isn't happy. Also, they said house in New Jersey was the dream home. To materialistic. My thoughts only.
ReplyDeleteIt doesn’t seem to me at all that Katie‘s only happy if she’s getting her way. It seems like they very much loved one another and have each other‘s back. Travis also needed to be close to Nashville to pursue a Gospel music career. He has recently been on unlimited touring with Joseph Habedink (?sp)
DeleteI watched their most recent video about their new house and how they're going to turn the detatched garage into a guest house. I noticed that since their return to Tennessee, Katie has taken on the mannerisms and speech pattern of her sister, Carlin. Carlin, IMO, is quite immature and Katie is not going in the right direction with this. I also noticed that Hayley is now walking around with those "snacks" that Carlin continuously gives her children. She didn't used to do this; Hayley had a daily routine which included uninterrupted naps, etc. I am sorry that Katie is taking to her sister, who is not, IMO, a good example of someone to emulate. Grow up, Katie.
ReplyDeletePractice what you preach.
DeleteCarlin is awesome. I’m glad she and Katie can now be as close as they have desired to be.
DeleteOh goodness, how wonderful! Congratulations to them! ❤️
ReplyDeleteKatey seems to have a need of being the center of attention .
ReplyDeleteAgreed. Carlin also acts that way.
DeleteAgree with you.
DeleteKelly Jo almost died over the weekend! Did you hear about that? She's ok now.
ReplyDeleteAgreed that their lifestyle doesn't add up financially....I noticed that Katie has that aura ring that's $500 given to her at Christmas from her husband....the one Zade lost on Carlin. I'm sure this wasn't the only gift she received from her husband...Let's see; they purchased a 2nd home; immediately new flooring some upgraded renovations; turn the garage into a guest house; Travis flew with Hayley FOR THE DAY to NJ for his mother's birthday. Where does all of this money come from? Travis's music career isn't that successful...not a great money maker, IMO, so where is is coming from. Katie also seems to be a bit entitled lately ...like she doesn't understand where the money comes from..It's what she wants and that's it. Her main concerns are how to decorate her childrens' rooms. Really now.
ReplyDeletePeople their age will need at least $5M - $6M in the bank to even think about retiring comfortably and paying for their needs in later years. More if SS/Medicare is broke or the claim age is upped, like they're talking about doing. Your 30's, 40's, and 50's are prime earning years and you need those decades to make your investments multiply. Sure it's a lot of fun now buying houses, decorating, and taking constant vacations, but someday they'll wish they had saved more. Disability can come before retirement, too. That's a financial shock. I'd like to hear the Bates or Duggar kids talk about how they're building up retirement at a 15% of income or more rate instead of talking about their new homes and vacations. I think Jill and Derick get it (he was an accountant, and he's the steadiest employed of all of them right now) but the rest, I doubt.
DeleteI agree with you. I see that most of them seem to live a rather affluent lifestyle without any sort of job that support it. I've always questioned that aspect of their lives.
Delete1:42, how do YOU think they do that?
DeleteCould most of the Bates adult childrens' YouTube videos bring in that much money that they seem to have such a lavish lifestyle? The husbands don't have independent paying jobs and benefits. Travis' "music career" can't be bringing in a 6 figure income on it's own; Evan doesn't have another job but videoing his family and helping out with BSB...which also can't net that much money in addition to splitting the income with Zach's family....so are they spending everyting and more of what they make? Credit card balances very high; not paying in full each month??
