Stewarts Take a Disney Cruise

Carlin and Evan Stewart and their children just returned from their first Disney Cruise. Layla Stewart turned five years old while they were at sea, while Zade Stewart will turn three in March. You can hear all about the magical trip on the family's latest YouTube video, which is 30 minutes long.

  1. I was not surprised that the Stewarts booked a Disney cruise for a "5 year old's birthday". Who does this? They booked an outside stateroom with a balcony area too. The whole "first class treatment", beauty parlor for Layla, etc...I noticed that the kids had all new clothes and shoes for this trip, most likely including the parents too. The Stewarts are on their way to having no retirement savings for themselves as this interest and views on their videos won't last the test of time like it is now. They spend all of what they make IMO. The boutique provides "tip money" for them but their real income seems to be from the subscriptions and views of their videos. The children are sweet and innocent, of course, but they will grow up as being spoiled with material things.

    1. In your opinion, they spend all they make? What does your opinion have to do with it? How much they spend is a fact and your opinion doesn't have access to the facts. Unless you're their accountant, perhaps?

    2. Your green horns are showing my dear. I'm happy for them. Live and let live.

    3. I certainly don't. seriously the idea of my parents giving me a cruise for any birthday. Laughable! hahaha! I don't think that highly of myself. If i ever go on a cruise with my kids, it'll be a family vacation not a celebration of somebody's bday. And it sure won't be a Disney cruise either. Seriously. Why are Christians (and politically conservative ones at that) of all people supporting Disney? Such a liberal anti-christian company! I don't get it.

    5. What about all the other families on the cruise? Are we going to criticize them too?

  2. How fun for them. I'm a big fat chicken and you won't see me on a cruise. That's just too much water for me!😆

    1. I love the water, but a cruise is not my jam.... I've always thought of them as floating Petri dishes.

    2. @7:32 Sometimes they don't even manage to float!!!

  3. I'm surprised they would support Disney in any way. But I'm not surprised that evangelicals bend all their own rules when it's something they really want, whether it's a drink or a movie or a cruise. They will always find a way to justify their actions before going back to judging.

    1. The Duggars were recently on a cruise, too. Bathing suits, alcohol, loud music - I guess all those things are OK to be around when you no longer have a TV image to maintain. It's like a bunch of diet gurus and diet book authors hanging out at the doughnut shop. These families are not maintaining the life they said they believed in and adhered to. If you can't grasp that, just look at what they've been doing.

    2. That's human nature. And wrong when anyone does it.

    3. 3:41. Nothing wrong with Disney.

    4. @3:41. I will take my chances going to Disney with my children versus putting them in most Christian youth groups today

    5. That sort of thing isn't limited to evangelicals. "Do as I say, not as I do".

  4. It's sad that these very young children won't remember this Disney cruise. How many of us remember our vacations at the age of 5 and 3? Better to wait a few more years and really make some MEMORIES.

    1. I have fond memories of vacations at the age of 5, actually.

  5. In this vlog, Evan commented that they needed Zade's ID, birth certificate, for this cruise. They didn't have a copy, for some reason at home. Carlin didn't want to be the one who had to go to the government office to get a certified copy of it, so Evan went. Of course, she wouldn't want to do anything real or official, leave those "hard grown up things" to Evan. I doubt that Carlin would be able to run the business of her life without him. Just a big kid IMO. Sadly, this is her parents' fault.

    1. Responsible adults check all those things long before the deadline, too.

    2. You wonder why they didn't have a copy of the BC. That seems pretty basic to me to have your own and your children's BC's. I agree that Carlin does seem pretty dependent.

  6. That must have cost a pretty penny. Guess they're dong better than anyone knew.

  7. Wow, what mean and nasty comments.
It’s really no one’s business what they do for their children’s birthdays. No one knows their financial situation or what they are doing for their financial future. They have very kind and loving children and remember people, we don’t see every minute of their lives. If you don’t like the way they live their lives or raise their children,-don’t follow them.

    1. Exactly! It's a shame that people think this is acceptable behavior. I don't go reading fan blogs of people I don't like, and even if I did I wouldn't publish comments criticizing and judging them. It's neither kind nor necessary.

  10. I’m sure the trip was sponsored by Disney. I don’t like to count other peoples money but their standard of living is quite nice!
